Used 2007 Toyota RAV4 Consumer Reviews
Steering Shaft and Rack Problems
I loved this car, until I hit about 50,000 miles, then I noticed a knock in the steering, Total cost of repair on the vehicle will be close to $3000.00. Needs steering shaft and rack. Over 36,000 miles this is not covered and I just turned 52,000. I took it to the dealership complaining of an occasional knock at 20,000 and then again at 30,000 and they could find nothing wrong; they told me to get an alignment, this made it a little better but know it is highly annoying to drive the vehicle. There is a Tech bulletin out there for this problem, too bad they don't recall these parts. With the bad publicity you would think they would rectify this problem. I am not sure I would get another Toyota.
What a Blast
This little SUV is great fun to drive. It has tight handling, great turning radius, good ride, and the acceleration...whoa momma! Buy the V-6 and you will understand what I mean. We bought a Limited with all the bells and whistles, paid right at $1000 under MSRP, so we felt like we got a good deal. The interior roominess is close to that of much larger SUVs. Road noise is much quieter than the CR-V. I'll be curious to see if we get anything close to the mileage rating of 21/28. My only disappointment is that the Rav4 is my wife's vehicle, and I hardly ever get to drive it.

LOVE my RAV!!
I am in sales and pretty much live in my vehicle. Because I'm in the construction industry and do some off- road driving to get to job sites, I decided to get the Rav4 Sport for the 4WD. I love the roominess and the layout. It is very comfortable and fun to drive. I also get excellent gas mileage. I am extremely pleased with it!
Love this car
This is a great vehicle. I down sized from a Dodge Durango and other than a few of the comforts (heated seats, leather) I don't miss it for a second. The RAV has a smooth ride with guts when needed. I love taking it up to the mountians on ski trips and with all the room there is plenty of room for friends.
Fun to drive - RAV4
I have been driving my 2007 Toyota RAV4 for about 5 months. I love driving it. The 6 cylinder engine and 4WD are sporty and fun. It is incredibly easy to handle, park, etc. The driveability is like a sedan, but the SUV body type lifts the driver for better visibility. I can't compare the maintenence cost to other SUVs, as I've only previously owned cars. The interior of the 2007 limited edition RAV4 is very comfortable and loaded with options. The cargo area is huge and the fifth door makes loading it very easy. I love this car!
