Just about the time I was to start a new job with a 95 mile commute, a collision with a deer totaled my wife's car. Her long time dream car was a Prius. The timing of that collision with the start of the new job meant that our first Prius would be mine. The 60 mpg is nearly 3 times that of my old car and that really helps cut down the commute costs. It's a comfortable ride and peppy enough to hang with the other road warriors.

What a great car. Is it going to win races? Nope and I don't care. It is a perfect commuter car. I have a 1 inch trailer hitch for my bike rack on the back AND if you fold the back seats down my bike can fit in the car fully assembled. It fits myself and 3 friends with coolers and a grill for tailgating. It really does all you need a car to do wonderfully.
