Every one I have shown this hard to get vehicle has been envious. Even other dealerships have been enthusiasic.

I like this car for every kind of driving, and would improve only its handling in strong cross-winds. We have over 30,000 miles on it, and have gotten mileage that has varied from a low of 39 (20 below zero, entirely short-trip driving) to 56 (twice, in the summer on Maine back roads). I have never enjoyed owning a car more. Because it has the potential to appeal to a wide spectrum of people, this car could point the way to reducing dramatically our dependence on foreign sources of energy, and a recuction in harmful emissions. I hope we get soon get a large number of hybrids, including pick-up trucks, to chose from -- WITH the ability to plug-in at night for all-electric driving.

My wife and I researched Hybrids for 3 years before finally buying our Prius. We are more than satisfied with our purchase. We immediately started saving more than $300 per month on gas. Now that gas prices have gone above $3.00 a gallon and are now hovering at about $2.70 we are saving closer to $425 per month. We actually average between 42 and 46 mpg but I have a lead foot and tend to set the cruise control on 80mph. If I can behave myself and go about 68 mph I average closer to 50 mpg on highway. My daily commute is about 80 miles round trip and this car has been a life saver over what our SUV used to cost getting 17 mpg on a good day. We recommend the Prius fully loaded.

The Prius offers outstanding comfort, features, and plenty of power, while reducing emissions and dependence on foreign oil. Four-door hatchback design makes it easy to bring along our dog or bulky cargo items. The controls, while unusual compared to other vehicles, are the most ergonomic I've ever seen.

With fuel at $2.00 plus this is the only car to have. We get 52.3 mpg and even higher when we take longer trips. This car is way ahead of it's time and we're happy to be part of the Prius generation. The room in the back is fantastic as the back seats fold flat making for a lot of storage. The AC is great and all electric as is the power steering. Using AC motors we know the car will be in the junk yard way before those electric motors will give out. We can't wait until the Camry is out in hybrid especially if it's the same set up as the Prius.
