Great car
I bought my 97 Paseo in' 01 and I love this car. It now has 155,000 miles on it and I get 30 some mpg. So this is the car we use for trips and everything. Every time I think of a new car I look at the mpg of the new cars and nothing works. So I think me and my Paseo will just continue on. Besides since it is a convertible it is just plain FUN.
My opinion
We bought this car as a fresh import from Japan. With extremely low mileage, we figured we couldn't go wrong, with the only mark on the full inspection being that the timing belt would need replacement at 60000 miles. We've driven this car all over and totally love it. With the 1300cc engine it's a bit underpowered, but it's a great city car that's easy to park and fun to drive!

Sporty Tercel
I've owned my Toyota Paseo since new. It's essentially a sporty Toyota Tercel. It's fun to drive, reliable, has great fuel economy, and is an all around great commuter car.
Love my toyota
bought vehicle new and have never had any problems w/ the vehicle !!! besides normal schd maint, I have only replace the rear shocks. Not bad for 150,000 miles !!! I have never owned a car that requires minimal maint. I would strongly suggest this car for those who want a reliable, fuel efficient vehicle that is fun to drive !! joe
The sayo is sweet
I love this car we've had it for eleven years and I still can't find much wrong with it. My paseo has 197 thousand miles on it and still gets 30 city and 35-40 highway! No after market parts just love and care. Easy to fix and fun to drive a great first car for any teenager and a great way for parents to control the amount of kids in the car. Easy to drive and fun to beat on beacause she just won't die, I'm still trying.
