Solid All Around

This is without question the best vehicle I have ever owned. Aside from some small "guilt" at the fuel consumption, the "Cruiser" is rock solid. At 100K miles, it still drives as if it was new. It tows without a sweat, takes the kids and toys to the beach easily and plows through the snow without chains while everyone else around is stopped getting wet. I hope it lasts for another 200K, but I can't see why it won't.

6 More MPG and its PERFECT!

If you need one vehicle to do everything this is it! Amenities to spare, great power, comfort, superior road manners for its heft, quiet. The extra fuel cost is countered by its reliability. With fuel costs up the cost of a used one is well worth the investment. Heck, if I can't drive it I'll rent it out as a luxury studio apartment.

16 years and still 100% reliable

I spent months searching for the right W. Texas truck for our MN winters. My 2000 LC had the best Carfax record with timely mainainence and the timing belt just replaced. Driving back from El Paso with the cruise set at 90 it felt as safe as other vehicles at 70. In the five years since, besides normal replacement parts, zero problems. During the worst blizzard in years I rescued a friend stuck in 3' snow before the streets were plowed. With regular all-season tires! 115K miles now and no rattles. Doors still have that satisfying "thunk." The heater is the best I've experienced. My only complaint: The radio sound quality is awful. But I like quiet so will not upgrade. I love that it is wide, but not long. Much easier to park than my full size pickup. My next will be a 2009-10 LC when the depreciate to my budget.

As big as an elephant, as smooth as a pillow. It is unbelievable.I did shop around for SUV's past 2 months.Nothing does beat that features, reliability, performance,,,,,,,of this 4700cc car. The power is awsome. Fuel economy might be a problem but, man you're buying such a big car with so many features. In fact compared to other cars same size it has the best fuel economy.
