06 XRS

Tony M., 04/28/2007
2006 Toyota Corolla XRS 4dr Sedan (1.8L 4cyl 6M)

Overall the XRS is a great car. It looks and feels sporty. You get great gas mileage combined with performance and looks. The car has great acceleration and handles well on turns. It has a sleeper look so some people may confuse it for an "S" or regular corolla. They'll be surprised. You'll hit 80 mph on the freeway without a sweat. The car is simply a lot of fun to drive.

LOVE My Corolla

We bought our Corolla 3 years ago and it works just as well as the day we bought it, despite having 64 000 km on it! The cost of the corolla is similar to American made vehicles but the quality is far better. I would highly recommend one.

This Corolla was a replacement for 2004 Civic which I felt was underpowered and delicate. Purchased pre owned with 75k three years ago, now have approximately 94k. In this time of much improved domestics like the Cruze, Sonic, Focus, and Fiesta, I've stopped considering Corollas as a compact choice anymore. My ex-wife now owns this car as part of the marriage settlement; I drive a Sonic, and am loving it...ebb and flow :-)

This is my third Toyota it is a 2006 Corolla and I have had the transmission replaced twice and the computer replaced once. Now my engine light is on again. I am really not happy with this car. I never thought I would get a lemon from Toyota.

Front seats extremely painful

The seat is hard and made in 2 lumps. The one at the back is where upper truck puts all weight in one spot on buttocks causing pain and numbness of the entire leg. The lump in the front tips upward and presses on the pressure point of artery on the back of the leg. The foot rest keeps prevents the leg from having any place to strech the leg that is numb and tingling from the pain caused from the seat. The footrest is so high that if the leg is somewhat in a less painful position, you cannot reach the clutch engagement point. The lower section of the dash is so low your the shin bone hits it when engaging the clutch or trying to move leg from bent position forced by footrest.
