Trim level differences
The 2023 Corolla Hybrid's lineup expanded to five trim levels from just one last year. The lineup starts with the base LE, followed by the sporty SE and the top-spec XLE. If you want all-wheel drive, the Corolla Hybrid also offers the LE AWD and SE AWD trims. For 2023, there's also an Infrared Edition package for SE models. Power comes from a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a hybrid system for a total output of 138 horsepower. A continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) routes power to the wheels. The base LE trim with the LE Premium package is our recommendation. The price stays low, and it comes with the same features found in the SE trim minus the sporty upgrades most people don't need. It's also more efficient than the SE trim. The LE Premium package adds upgraded alloy wheels, blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning, a sunroof, and keyless entry and ignition.
