Used 2017 Toyota Camry XLE 4dr Sedan (2.5L 4cyl 6A) Consumer Reviews
Camry fever
Very reliable car. This is my fourth Camry. No major repaires and I have never been stranded on the side of the road. If you want a reliable car this is it.

Happy in a Camry
While I did really like the car the last time I reviewed it, my feelings have changed and I will be looking for another car in spring. I don't know what i will be looking at but it will not be a Toyota. The back up camera depends on the background to be effective, sometimes when I am parking and put it in drive or reverse the car will lurch without my foot on the gas. The trunk lid does not always open to the same height. Usually it opens enough so that I can reach in and get something out. occasionally it doesn't open all the way and I bang my head. These and other things are not big problems, but they are annoying.

You Can't Go Wrong With A Camry!
My parents purchased a new 2017 XLE 4-cylinder five years ago & has held up perfectly so far as expected. There are a lot of great choices in this highly competitive segment, but the Camry has always been my top pick mainly for it's legendary reliability & strong resale value. It's mainly my mom's car that I recommended for her as I owned a 2015 XSE V6 & she's been loving the car very much! It replaced a 2004 Cadillac DeVille which was an extremely comfortable car that my parents inherited from my deceased grandfather, but had non-stop problems throughout the eight years they had it. While the Camry isn't as plush as the Cadillac was it's still comfortable & luxurious enough. The seats are firm, but comfortable enough & the cabin has plenty of room with a very wide & large trunk. Even though I prefer the V6 for its additional 90 horsepower & better sound, the 4-cylinder is certainly no slouch. It's surprisingly very punchy off the line, is smooth & refined & doesn't get loud & buzzy when revved high. There are only a few flaws I have with this car such as no available memory drivers seats where most competitors offer them, also no vanity lights which surprised me. Her car doesn't have a sunroof & you have to get the sunroof to get the vanity lights which should be standard on the XLE. I believe my previous base 2007 Nissan Altima 2.5 S had vanity lights as standard. Her car doesn't have the built in navigation, but the Scout GPS system is horrible & only works less than half the time. Her car has the 10 Speaker JBL audio system which became standard for 2017 & sounds OK at first but is disappointing. My Camry had the standard 6 speaker system which surprisingly sounded better & was much louder. Besides those flaws I just mentioned, this has been an excellent car as the Camry has always been easily one of the best vehicles you can buy both new & used, but I highly recommend going with either the top XLE or XSE trims if you're planning on buying a used one cause you get a lot more features for not much more money such as heated front seats, nicer materials, rear seat vents, a power passenger seat, dual zone climate control & more.

Pleasantly Surprised
Very impressed with the Camry so far. It’s a big improvement over a previous generation Camry I had previously. The ride is pretty smooth and very quiet. The infotainment system, Entune, took a little while to get used to since I’ve been driving Hondas more recently, but it has good functionality. I bought this as a third car for my daughter to use and have not been disappointed.
