Used 2006 Toyota Camry Solara Coupe Consumer Reviews
Small things count
I purchased my Solara in the Fall of 04. Although Toyota quality is apparent...small shortcomings have detracted from my enjoyment of the car. For whatever reason Toyota elected not to install "foldback" type outside rearview mirrors. When shopping or parking in tight spaces people try to fold back the mirrors. The compass windshield mirror vibrates over 60 MPH which produces a distorted image that is very annoying. The front seats are not as comfortable as they first appear...especially on longer trips. Lastly, the car has a "drive by wire" feature which causes a slight hesitation when you first depress the gas pedal...hard to get used to. Small complaints perhaps but they add up.
This car has outlived any I've ever owned!
This car is seriously awesome. It's cozy, fast and looks great. Mine has 214,000 miles on it and has no check engine lights on. It feels like it has half the amount of miles ! Can't go wrong getting this car.

Sporty and Classy
I bought my Toyota Solara in 2007. It was a 2006. 1 year old. I had my Toyota Solara for 10 years. It's the best Toyota I have ever owned. I have had only Toyota's all my life. It was my 5th Toyota. In 10 years. It never gave me any major problems. That car was good to me until someone hit and ran me and totaled the car. Now I am searching for another used Toyota Solara.

Love it but wish I had the V6
Im 17 and I bought mine 3 months ago with 65,000 miles as my first car I love ALMOST everything about this car. Its in superb condition. The car is comfortable, handles well, reliable because its a Toyota, and is for the most part rattle-free which means its built well. Two things I don't like about this car are the acceleration and the MPG. Even when I accelerate and brake gradually and coast as much as possible, I never get more than 17 MPG city, as opposed to the claimed 23 MPG city. Acceleration is not great, the V6 probably delivers better but overall I am very very happy.
Wish for better gas mileage
The Solara is a great Camry. Comfortable, good visual fields available. Only one complaint; II can't read the time, temperature outside, etc. on the upper dash. The displays are "hooded" and there is no back light. In the South, we have lots of sunny days so the numbers appear "shadowed" and therefore, not legible. My car is actually a 2004 model but I couldn't change the year model when I filled in the fields. The Solara is my favorite car ...of my lifetime!
