Quality vehicle
My first car, I like it. Fun to drive, great control & handling. The quality is as good as Toyota Camry, so you can see why its resale price is so high; but it has 2 doors, so it is good for young people if you do not have too many passengers. Only have check engine light on (wire broken, fix by $35), and clock/mirror off (fix $10), so it is very reliable. Definitely recommend to young people; not expensive, quality car.
Great Car
Great Car. Bought used with 100K. I was kinda scared of high mileage, but reviews gave it an A grade so I took the risk and glad I did. Daily work driver and great on fuel, no problems... solid car still at 120K and 8 years old.
2001 Toyota Solara SLE V6 Coupe-A Blast!
My second Solara. Pros: Best vehicle I've ever owned. Cons: Fuel mileage is a disappointing 19-24 mpg.
Great Car - Terrible Dealer
Car was delivered with 15" steel wheels when 16" alloy are supposed to be standard. I guess the dealer swapped them with another car. Clutch has chattered since the day I picked it up, steering pulls to the left and there is a slight gear clash when shifting into 3rd. It's been back to the dealer several times but they don't see a problem. Stay away from Mt. Kisco, NY Toyota!
V-6 5 speed
The car is almost perfect. I have a special order V-6 5-speed with cloth seats, side airbags, power driver seat, 15" aluminum rims, and CD player. Great power, although the springs are a little soft and cause some wheel hop on hard acceleration. Smooth and quiet and you would swear you were in a Lexus. Great build quality. Runs 15.5 secs in 1/4 mile with 2k miles on it.
