Just bought one and I love it getting right around 48-52 mpg very comfortable ride and surprisingly powerful in sport mode. Has enough space for a family of 4. I wish they offered the SE with the same mpg but the SE gets less. The SE looks better but I didn't buy it for looks I bought it for a commuter/family car and the LE fit the bill. If your looking for a really nice car for a small family with great gas mileage this is the one. The hybrid system is covered for 100k miles and the battery is covered for 150k under warranty and I really like the radar cruise control and lane assist . The car is very roomy as well I'm a bigger guy 6' 215lbs and I do not feel cramped in this car at all plus the kids have plenty of room in the back seats. I test drove a Corolla hybrid first and there was just no comparison to the comfort and drivability of the camry.

I've had a Camry Hybrid for 14 years and I just bought another one. My old Camry was a great car. I put over 200,000 miles on it and it was very reliable. I liked the 2.4L engine because it had enough power to get on the freeway quickly. It was a very quiet, comfortable car for me. My new one is awesome with all the bells & whistles that weren't available in 2007. It also is super quiet and comfortable. I'm looking forward to a long life with my new car!

I bought this car about 6 months ago. When you think of a new car you should feel safe and comfortable but in my case that wasn’t happening at all. I bought this car off the lot brand new. The problems began very fast. My car started to make this grinding sound I haven’t heard before and me thinking I haven’t had a hybrid before maybe that’s normal but than has gotten worse over the past months. So the sound became louder and louder, than started to interfere with my brakes. On a ton of occasions my car would not brake it felt like I was fighting with my car to brake. Thank goodness no one was in front of me. With the issue of my brakes I have been going back and forth with Toyota with this car 4 times already. The dealer is no help and I’m over this car. At this point I’m ready to leave my keys. My husband and I are trying to find a new car that is safe and hope we don’t get something like this -VN

2021 Toyota Camry Hybrid - complaints Can not turn off the lane departure warning (LDW) feature. You can only place into a low setting. Surging when depressing brake. Noticed this occurring when slowing pulling into the garage, was not a deal breaker as was barely moving and never got to close to hit anything else in the garage. Once it snowed this surging began happening when braking to slow down to make turns. This surging was so scary, even with studded snow tires. Driving home from work one evening, it had rained and was turning to black ice; going around a slight curve on the bridge and close to the white line; the care decided to pull me away from the white line. This was the final straw, not going to allow a car to make the decision to pull on black ice. I did not want to become a statistic by having this vehicle causing a car wreck. I had contacted Toyota Care and they said it was not a warranty issue. That is when it knew it was time to get rid of this hybrid after only 5 months. Other issues with this vehicle: can not lift the driver’s side windshield wiper, massive design flaw. Anyone who lives in snowy climates need to be able to lift their wipers to clean off the snow and/or leave the wipers up so they don’t freeze to the windshield. The buttons on the interior are so small, not nice like on my 2016 Corolla. Another item I contacted Toyota Care about is the bumper/fender/wheel casing. This separated – cheap plastic. Again, they said not a warranty issue. Didn’t have this problem with the Corolla. I had to go into the dealership because I was barely getting any heat. It was explained that on ECO setting mode it would not provide much heat. Selected the next mode, which did provide heat faster but still weak. When the temperatures got below 30 degrees, the windows fogged; side defrosters are were so small they didn’t put out enough heat to keep the windows from fogging up. There are two nice things I can say about the vehicle. The fuel economy was amazing, and the stability control made for a smooth ride. Great vehicle for climates that don’t have snow and ice. However, if you live in that type of climate – DO NOT PURCHASE. I traded the Camry Hybrid off after 5 months and purchased a Nissan Rogue.
