Used 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid Consumer Reviews
18 months later
In first 18 months, this car has performed well, with excellent mileage, but I have been surprised to see a dramatic decline in the design and assembly quality that I found in my prior two Toyotas. The fuel economy is as good as other posters report (40-43 summer, 35-38 winter). Quality problems include incessant front dash rattles that the dealer cannot fix, no matter how many visits; cheap front and rear bumpers that crack as soon as you are touched by another car in a parking space; interior plastics and exterior paint that scratch at the drop of a hat.
7000 miles in three months
I have owned a TCH for over three months, the mileage has been around 42 MPG on every tank since 2500 miles. It must have some brake in parts that take time to jell. It now runs on pure electric at 40 MPH on the flat and indicates over 60 MPG at 80 MPH on the flat. Great car and with the miles we put on it, the pay back will be quicker than the six years I estimated. The ride is not equal to the Volvos that we own, but the design is very quiet at speed. I'll keep mine until fuel cells are up and running.

My TCH has been magnificent
I've loved my TCH. I bought it on 04/21/07, have just under 15,000 miles on it, with mileage at 36/39. I've had no build or performance issues. No rattles, squeaks, crunched bumpers, or any other concerns. Absolutely nothing has gone wrong with the car. I love the quiet, smooth ride. The CVT, electric steering and gas pedal make this car just glide. The power and torque, when the internal combustion engine and electric motor combine, are more than a human needs.
After 20 months, still no regrets
I just passed 25K miles and 20 months of ownership with my 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid. I still love the car. My tank average mpg has never been less than 36 and has been as high as 41.5 on a long haul trip. I've had absolutely no technology issues with the car. I did have to have an alignment done twice already and it seems out again, but nothing has gone wrong with the complex hybrid drive. The car looks and drives great. I don't know how I found my way without GPS!! I would buy this again in a minute. The Edmunds TMV estimate is still within 3K of that price today!!! AAA+++
Finally, a Hybrid sedan
The TCH finally fills a market segment badly needed... the hybrid sedan! I love the idea of hybrids, but the existing choices did not fit - the Prius too small, the Highlander too large. This is perfect! It drives wonderfully, comfortable, smooth and refined. And despite discussions in the press of less than EPA milwage MPG -- the averages are great! This is a hybrid for the average person!
