Terrible suspension

I recently bought a 2018 XLE with 34k miles on it. The steering and brakes are good, but the harsh suspension is so bad that I will hopefully trade it in for something else in a few weeks. This is not a touring model but feel like it has an F1 suspension crossed with a 20 year old utility truck that at low speeds on small bumps us unbearably annoying. Toyota what are you thinking?

Toyota must have super ears

I traded in a Buick with Lane Departure Alert and loved that feature. I made sure that my new 2018 Avalon hybrid had LDA but I did not road test it. I took my first trip in my new Toyota and was dismayed to discover that the volume on the LDA buzzer was so low as to render it useless. The buzzer volume on the Buick was adjustable but is not adjustable on the Toyota. I would not have purchased this vehicle had I known of this major safety shortcoming

If you want a full size car that has a great ride with great gas mileage, The Avalon hybrid is the car for you. consistently getting 37 to 40 miles to a gallon. the car has great pickup and if you want more shift into sport mode. This is our third Toyota I’m positive we will have a fourth.

Great Car-Great Value

Got fabulous deal on 1 year old car. After doing a lot of homework and checking CarFax & Edmund's on used cars and taking this car to my mechanic was sold on my new-used car. Toyota's are reliable and Avalon has luxurious appointments. So a lot of bang for the buck. Wanted a V6 engine, so limited my search. I was a Honda Accord owner for last 13 years and loved my V6 Accord; but after 2017 Honda stopped making V6 Accord so had to look elsewhere. Happy with change to Toyota-another reliable-solid car.

Retired and looking for value

We are now retired and were not looking to get into a car and pay +$30K. We feel we got a great value with a 2018 Toy Avalon with 14K miles for $22K. It does not have all the bells and whistles but it is a reliable Toyota brand while still being a great looking vehicle.
