So Far, A Much Stronger Ranger!
Behop31, 10/18/2024
2024 Ford Ranger Lariat 4dr Crew Cab 4WD SB (2.3L 4cyl Turbo 10A)
While I have only driven my Ranger Lariat 100 miles since purchasing last week, so far I really love it! The increased width of the wheelbase provides a more stable feeling ride. The upgraded leather seats are super comfortable (as compared with my 2020 Ranger Lariat), and the updates to Ford Sync is a vast improvement! The new touchscreen is large, however it does not distract the … driver at all. I love the wireless charging and that the use of Android Car Play no longer requires the phone to be plugged in. My phone's charging port has been messed up for years, and now I can still access car play (which is a great feature in San Jose traffic!), which I could not do in my previous Ranger Lariat. I have not yet made use of the power outlets in the bed, however I cannot imagine I won't make use of these while out on the farm (like having a generator with me!).
We have a limited number of reviews for the 2025 Ford Ranger, so we've included review for other years of the Ranger since its last redesign.

Stop Buying Too Much Truck: Your Guide to Truck Sizes | Ford Maverick vs. Ranger vs. F-150 vs. F-250
Compared to other automakers, Ford has the most extensive lineup of trucks, ranging from the compact Maverick all the way up into full-size Super Duty land. But which one is right for you? In this video, Edmunds’ Emme Hall compares the 2026 Ford Maverick, 2026 Ford Ranger, 2026 Ford F-150 and 2026 Ford F-250 to help you decide which one is the best fit.Small or compact… trucks like the Ford Maverick have great prices and will fit just about anywhere, but can they tow or haul enough for you? Midsize trucks like the Ford Ranger can do a lot, with more power and capability than small trucks, but they may not be flexible enough for your needs. Full-size or large trucks like the famous Ford F-150 are mighty capable and comfortable, but can also be expensive and may be overkill for your needs. Big heavy-duty trucks like the Ford F-250 have massive power and massive towing and hauling ability, but they also come with massive price tags and...they're just plain massive. So how much truck do you actually need?
