My 2007 Xls Avalon I bought with 78,000 miles.Runs great on the highway great on gas about 360 to a tank.Ive replaced front brakes, Tensioner idler pulley and belt.Regular Oil changes every 3000 miles and I changed the transmission fluid within 30 days of purchase.By far a great price at 8500.I would buy another one it rides like a luxury sedan without the price tag of a lexus.Toyotas hold their value and perform at such a reliable level.

Updated review: still love the car as a whole, perfect, reliable and trustworthy. Only one small issue with the sunscreen. It appears to go off track and makes a terrible noise when you put the car in reverse. I went to the local Toyota dealership to ask for advice and assistance. I was told it's a common problem and the entire unit needs to be replaced, the cost $1,000. Was basically shrugged at. My only thoughts were, I know it was a common problem, there are hundreds of others dealerships that have probably fixed these in the past rather than have the customer pay to replace equipment that is faulty in the first place. Needless to say, I fixed it myself by pulling the fuse - for free. Easy fix and I'm still very pleased with the car and would purchase another without a second thought. I have owned several Hondas and Nissans in the past. I prefer import vehicles over domestic. After two people advised on getting a Toyota, I began my research and found the Avalon to suit what I was looking for. I have owned the car for 3 months now and I'm beyond happy with it. I will have this vehicle for years to come and I'm confident it will last well beyond my use. It is comfortable, designed well but most importantly I feel very safe in this car.

Disappointed

The seats in this Avalon are terrible, more uncomfortable than you can imagine. Why would a designer put all kinds of seams in a car seat? The steering is also "hard", not smooth like in our 2003 Avalon. It feels like I'm driving a Mack truck. The radio sounds like an old transistor AM radio - tinny and poor quality. I've also had major problems with merging onto interstates from entrance ramps; sometimes I wonder if I'll make it without being rear ended by a car 1/4 mile behind me. The pick-up is not reliable. Cabin noise is very loud on interstates, mostly from moonroof. Overall, if you are a small woman who is looking for comfort and a great car for road trips, the 2007 Avalon is not it.

Best car and best Avalon I have ever owned. Rides like a dream. Looks great. Very roomy. Almost no noise. I can't believe my fuel mileage. Consistently between 28 and 33 using cruise when driving the speed limit. Got great value on my 03 trade in to boot.
