Toyota 1994 4Runner SR5 V6 4WD
An excellent car for in town and off road! This SUV has had virtually NO problems with it since bought in 1994. A very reliable truck.
Driving perfection
I've ALWAYS wanted a 4runner. I recently found one with EVERY OPTION I wanted, and in my fav. available color. The truck looks fantastic, has impeccable road manners, and a stellar 4wd system. Space is adequate, and the interior is simple and comfortable. My only gripes; poor fuel economy coupled with a spirited but underpowered engine. What gives?

Best Truck Ever
I bought this truck brand new in 1994 before the term "SUV" was around. I have over 206,000 miles on it and it still runs great. I have NEVER done anything more than routine oil changes/ spark plug maintenance to the vehicle. This truck has also taken hundreds of miles of off-road pounding up steep canyons as narrow as the truck and over rocks as big as tires with no problems. I wish I could buy it new again, and I will never get rid of it. The only thing bad is that it gets 16 MPG city and 20 MPG on the highway. Also, up steep highway grades the engine will slow a bit, but then it does not have a V-8 as some BIG "SUV" might have.
4Runner
Reliable and Trustworthy. Great Value.
Problems with 4 Runners/Toyotas
This is my 2nd, & my last Toyota! The 1st, we had to sell at at loss with 96000 mi.,with a cracked head. 2 years later, they had a recall on that model for that. This one has fumes in the cockpit; made me very sick going to our cabin twice, before I figured it out! Dealer says fuel injectors going out, over $400 per, (after they get inside, don't know how many, however, they may continue to go out). Also, clutch going out, our 2nd or 3rd on this car! Have had many gear problems! Not going to spend that much to repair. We just spent $1611 on a tuneup. Are there any recalls on these problems?
