Everything about this car is fun and reliable. The engine could use a bit more umph, but when used with the paddle shifters it makes a big difference. This car has it all: Power everything, nice quality leather interior, power moonroof, Bluetooth handsfree and audio, red LED illumination on the floor and dash, auto A/C, Cruise, Tilt, etc... and CVT with paddle shifters that work in either auto or manual mode. The gas mileage is really great. Hwy I get 35 to 38 and city I get a fairly consistent 33. We took this car on a trip to California (from Idaho) last year and using the roof racks, had plenty of room. The mileage dropped significantly while using the roof rack! But, it was still a great trip with zero issues. There isn't really anything I regret about this little car. It's fun and for me, it has been very reliable - except!!! - last week my moonroof exploded on its own accord and threw glass all over the freeway. I guess this is not a rare occurrence and it has since been repaired. All-in-all a fun ride that does great in the snow.

I bought my CVT premium hatchback in December. This is my 4th Subaru impreza but first new car. The best thing about it is the mileage. At first my average MPG seemed low but then I started looking at the instantaneous MPG readout and adjusting my driving style to maximise fuel efficiency. Now at around 5,000 miles I am getting almost EXACTLY the MPG estimated by Subaru, 28 around town, 30 mixed and 36 highway (actually I did get 38 a few time on a long 100 mile drive). The other great thing is the leg room in the rear. I had to drive a rental Ford Fous for a week and my son complained that he had LESS room in the back than in the Subau. Not sure he's right...but still.

I have moved from a Honda Civic to the 2013 Impreza. Car drives much better than the Civic, about the same gas mileage with a lot less road noise. Seats are better than the Civic, most of the interior is on par or better.

Great car, worst Bluetooth possible

I consider Bluetooth a safety feature. This Bluetooth does not synchronize with the phone's contact list. You need to manually enter each contact. For each, you need to manually enter the phone number by scrolling a thumb wheel for each number, and then you say the name. When I said "Larry" it told me I had to have 2 syllables. When I said "Drywall John" it said it was too similar to "Larry Cell"! You cannot input the name, so for a list of phone numbers, you get numbers but no associated names. It would not recognize my wife's voice since it only knew my voice. When we renamed contacts using my wife's voice, it would no longer recognize my voice. This system is an embarrassment to Subaru.

I wanted a AWD vehicle that got decent MPG. My 1st impression when sitting in the car for the first time was WOW! you can see everything from the front, back & all sides. The leg room was better than the Mazda Tribute that I was driving and the seat in the Subaru is awesomely comfortable! Loved it from the get go. I'm up to 6,000 miles and the MPG combine city/highway is now at 30 MPGs steadily for the last few weeks, it was in the low 20 MPGs for a few thousand miles. I legally tinted all windows except windshield and added the bug shield, aero splash guards and side window deflectors and the car looks hot! I'm very happy so far
