Used 2009 Subaru Impreza Consumer Reviews
reliable and good-looking
Fun car, reliable in bad weather, nice to look at, easy to drive
I've held on to my Subaru even though my engine is
My car all of a sudden just up and started making a terrible engine noise. Been sitting on it a year. #4 cylinder is shot. I'm an older woman and took very good care of this vehicle. Our friend/mechanic was the certified Subaru mechanic for the dealership here where I bought it. Stopped taking it to the dealership when he quit cause then they didn't have a certified Subaru mechanic.

Agile, fun-to-drive, and a great value!
Extremely fun to drive with amazing handling and the surprisingly spirited engine makes me smile. I feel safe, it's reliable and think it's worth it to trade some gas mileage for superior road holding, especially in hazardous driving conditions (snow and rain). Simple, but spacious interior and tremendous trunk capacity. It makes it easy to become a Subaru enthusiast!
2009 Subaru Impreza - Not WRX (so no law suits)
Oil burner with major engine issue - mechanic supposedly fixed to the tune of $2300 - blew a piston after four weeks. This thing is going to the junk yard - I've been the only owner - I'll never own another and that makes me sad, but I loved this car in the snow.

A/C stinks
Was told by dealer the a/c cycles cold to warm so it won't freeze up! I have owned a lot of cars domestic and import and I never had this problem before. Where I live the summer temps run 95-110 June to October. Because of this I would not recommend or buy another Subaru.
