Used 2006 Saturn VUE Consumer Reviews
New to Saturn
Just purchased the vehicle. Like the performance and the gas mileage so far. Interior design could be better in the center console area. Not much storage room. OnStar is great. Rear door is very heavy and hard to close. Very comfortable seats and lots of leg room in the rear for the size of the vehicle.
Beyond Expectations
We purchased a Saturn VUE in December of 2005 and have driven it about 1500 miles. It has been exciting to drive with the Honda V-6 engine and is very comfortable for a 250# man to drive and sit for long periods of time. The mileage is amazing, it gets 22 mpg in town and about 28mpg on the road at 65 miles per hour with the cruise control on. The back seats are a little tricky to put up and down, you have to be a little patient with the back seat lever. One great little add is the Organizer that pops up to form two plastic bins to put your groceries into. We love this SUV and it suits our lifestyle to a tee. We owned a bigger Ford SUV for 10 years and we like this one better.

It's been a good car to me...
I've loved having this car over the past 5 years. It's been reliable and has held up in looks and performance. I've been extremely pleased with the aesthetics of both the interior and the exterior. I could never be happy with a car that lacked in either of them. The size has also been great. But now I have 2 large dogs and a child and sadly, there is not enough space when we go camping, etc. But I've really loved this car even with it's imperfections, i.e. the noises and the steering wheel stereo controls that change function from day to day. This will make a great used car when it's time for me to sell.
Love my VUE!
I absolutely love my VUE (V6, FWD)! I had a minivan prior to my VUE & I was afraid I'd miss the cargo space & sliding doors, but I don't. I gained much better gas mileage from my van & the VUE is fun to drive. I average 21- 24 mpg, but on long road trips I average 26-28 mpg. I am thrilled to have something that has decent gas mileage, but still has plenty of room inside for my husband, myself & our 2 kids, who are both in car seats. The doors have large openings which makes it easy to get the kids in & out. The only thing I noticed is some wind noise due to the body design around the front windshield, but after driving it a few months I don't even notice it except for really windy days.
VUE for you
I have just purchased my VUE and so far I am very pleased with it. It is the perfect vehicle for a family with small children. The 250hp engine and the storage bin organizer located in the rear are two great features of this vehicle. OnStar is available on all GM vehicles but it optional. On the VUE it is standard. Gas mileage is great. There are a lot of accessories and packages to choose from. I test drove the Pontiac Torrent, Ford Escape and the Chevrolet Equinox. The Saturn won hands down because of its safety rating and price. Looking for a family oriented vehicle along with safety, value and affordability then the Vue is for you.
