Brakes

My experience with my Saturn Vue has been pretty good. The only thing that I have noticed is that when I happen to hit a bump on the road or a pothole if I have my foot on the brake I loose my brake. It almost feels as though my foot is bouncing on the pedal. Other then that, I love the SUV. It is perfect for my family.

Third Time's the charm

This is my third Saturn in 6 years, and I am very happy with my VUE. Easy to drive, not too big, Seats are comfortable, pick-up is great. Miles per gallon is very much like the L200: about 26 highway/20 city. Traction control with ABS makes me feel very safe on the snow covered roads. Sideview mirrors that fold in-such an added bonus. Love the space and the leather/cloth seats. I read that a lot of owners thought the engine was too loud. I am not finding that to be an issue. Love the compass, temp gage/dimming rear view mirror. Overall, for me- it is a great vehicle. Gives me the room I need for me and my dog on trips. Recommend this vehicle to anyone. I feel safe, and love driving in it.

My Saturn Vue

Plastic Saturn Man, 06/24/2005
2005 Saturn VUE Fwd 4dr SUV (2.2L 4cyl 5M)

My plastic car looks great, but feels a little cheap inside. Since I mainly use it as a dual purpose vehicle, it serves me well. I can drive around my kids and be very safe. In addition, I can easily zoink out the car seats and lay the rear and front passenger seats down providing ample space for my miscellaneous boxes and tools. The CR-V 4-cylinder engine does feel a bit odd and under-powered. I get the feeling my motor is being powered by a giant coiled rubber band, like those used to power a toy airplane’s propeller.

The best SUV in the segment, hands down

The Vue V6, in RedLine (mine) or standard dress, is the fastest, safest and most fuel efficient SUV (without going hybrid) in the <$30k market today. RedLine looks cool, has huge 18" rims and tires, handles on rails, and puts almost every other SUV to shame in performance, except maybe the Porsche Cayenne. $50k Sequoias cant keep up and get 1/2 of the gas mileage. I have an 05 BMW, the Vue Redline, and motorcycles. I enjoy the Vue the most.

We've had three previous Saturns and now we have the one my wife has wanted since they came out. We bought the manual because we wanted it and we are enjoying it so far. Very peppy and good looking, IMO.
