I bought this vehicle because I needed something with a little more room and better ground clearance than what I had in my Olds Alero. Of all the SUVs that I drove, only the Saturn was able to provide me with AWD and an exterior that would be able to resist the light offroad use I would be incurring. It hauls everything inside that I need. The interior is a nice plastic that I haven't been able to tear up as aposed to former vehicles. The engine and the 5 speed automatic have been able to provide me with enough performance and economy to be very happy.

I am averaging only 21 mph even thou the vehicle states 21-27 mph on the 4 cylinder. The horn design is unsafe. At night you cannot tell where to activate the horn. The engine due to the transmission design is very noisy until you have reached the desired speed. Overall I would rate the vehicle just average. The fuel pump was noisy and was replaced within the first six weeks of use.

Worst Transmission Ever

We bought this used, 85,000 miles on it, 30,000 later we learned that the transmission had a fracture and was leaking fluid. Beacuse no mechanic wants to take the things apart, it wasn't learned of until it was too late. We replaced it with a brand new transmission ($7000), and about 18,000 miles later it became completely fubar from the inside. Now we have no choice but to sell it and hope and pray the warranty we have will help us. I'm moving onto the 09 CR-V
