Best car ever
I've had this car for 2 months and it been great. I bought it for $700. It has 285,000 miles on it and keeps going. Just burns I little oil but for the mileage you cant beat it.
Great Little Car.
I got my SC2 about 5 years ago and love it. It get an average of 36-39 MPG. I put a clutch in it at 140000 miles and 2 water pumps but that's probably because i got the reman pumps. The only downfall is my AC has never worked right. I took it to an AC mechanic and they said it was fixed. 270 dollars later still no ac. I think this is just my car. My friends Saturn's AC is so cold the windows fog up. I'm about to buy another Saturn next week. One more thing. The bushing inside the shifter broke. I had only 3rd and 4th gear. It was 20 bucks off ebay. No biggie.
Loyal to the end
I got this car for college. It was 6 years old and had 30K on it. Now it has 115K, and I'm sad to let it go. I'm not a car expert, but this car got me from point A to point B for 7 years. I drive my cars hard- turn sharply, gun it on green lights, take very long trips, etc. Gas mileage is around 30mpg with 50/50 city/hwy driving, though the AC makes mpg and acceleration suffer. Regular maintenance & checks are a must. Things don't go wrong often, but when they do, they really go! Serpentine belt tensioner is faulty (had it replaced at 53K and now it needs a new one again!) Interior door panel broke off and can't be fixed. Overall, they won't last forever, but they're great while they last!
Long lived and prospered
My mohter bought this car from my uncle 3 years ago with 200,000 Miles and it still takes off like a rocket. The interior is a little beat up but its still comfortable. I complain about the mileage cause it makes me feel a little uncomfortable. The little guy just hit 235,000 miles with many more to come. The engine has a .5 second hesitation when I slam it, but what do you excpect. A few trim pieces are starting to fall off of the interior. to finish there is also a growing hole in the exhaust (still sounds great though like its after market)
Buy one, you won't be sorry!
I have owned my Saturn for seven years. It has 89,000 miles on it and I have never had problems with it. It is a very fun car to drive, has great gas mileage and is reliable. I can recommend the Saturn SC2 coupe with confidence.
