The GM I have owned
My wife and I had a 89 Mercury trace and the valves got bent so we needed a car. My wife's friend sold us our Saturn and we love it. We plan to keep it around for a long time! My wife drives the car mostly in town for dr. appts, shopping, taking the kids to school, visiting friends and escorting me around! LOL! We take about 3-5 long instate trips a year, and really rely on our vehicle on a daily basis. We only have had to do a few things to it- we had to fix the serpentine belt, alternator, spark plugs, plus BASIC maintenance. (oil change, brakes, fluids etc.) we highly recommend this car to anyone looking for a highly reliable family vehicle!
My 1995 Saturn SC!
I have a 25 year old Saturn SC 1 which I bought right out of the show room, and since then, knock on wood I have never ever had a major problem with this car. It has travelled far and wide, and feels the same to handle as it did the day I drove her off the lot. If I have to mention a problem or two, I'd say first the "Check Engine" light keeps coming on. I've taken her to 3 mechanic's and none of them could fix the problem, so I just ignore it. And with that come problem number 2. Namely it is hard to find parts. GM Canada has next to none, and since there are no longer an Saturn dealerships, there's no parts or factory trained mechanic's to repair this one and only problem. My mechanic is a wiz, but this one has him stumped big time. I love my Saturn whom I've named Suzi, after a girl I know, and won't let her go. She's been more than good to me, and I try and do my best for her. Looking forward to another 25 years of comfortable and enjoyable driving.

Love this SL2
Bought this 95 Saturn SL2 used from a local dealership in 1999 for $5000.00 and it is the best money I ever spent on a used car. I drove the car myself for about 2 years before my eldest child got her license, then she drove it before it was passed down to my youngest. Other than maintenance, really haven't had to spend too much money on it. Unfortunately, my youngest son drives this car like he's Michael Andretti and hasn't been the best with regular oil changes and now the engine is shot. But this car has been so reliable and economical/efficient to drive he's looking to replace it with another Saturn..sure hope he's learned his lesson about regular upkeep/oil changes!
Saturn 95 sl1 (automatic)
I purchase this car a year ago and didn't know anything about cars or the company Saturn. I would recommended this car for a average joe that knows something about this car.Really easy problems to fix that i know Saturn did mistakes especially the automatic Saturn, like the value body and the engine coolant sensor and connector as well. in conclusion i have spent $500 total for this car in parts like the value body 200 brakes and rotors 150 oil, fuel filter 30 and sparks plugs n wire, pcv 60 and thermostat + antifreeze 40 to do a flush. also the coolant sensor and connector 20.No mechanic has put there hands on this Saturn.the car run good and smooth.i would recommend the car in a manual.
Good car!
Although a very reliable, good gas mileage car, it is cheaply made as compared to a Toyota or Honda. No major problems with this car!
