I could not be happier with my purchase of my 2017 Ram 1500 Laramie 4x4 crew cab. This truck has been perfect, there literally is nothing I don’t like about this truck, it is my first Ram and it won’t be my last. Power is perfect, very well built outstanding quality, and for a big truck the gas mileage is pretty darn good. Technology is great and user friendly, stereo sounds great and interior is so damn comfortable, well laid out and quality materials. Highly recommend the Ram!

I have owned Chevy, Ford, GMC & Toyota; but this is the right choice for me. Good room , good power and pretty good fuel economy (for a 5.7. Must be that 8 speed transmission.) All gears shifts smooth, everything works as expected, if not better and mine had a CD player installed underneath the 2nd center console between driver's & passengers seats. (Hard to change CDs safely when driving, so pick a good choice of music for long drives.) Does have a slight delay, when I stand on the accelerator, but I am sure it is just the intake limited in air: when it does kick in, it will scram. All said, its the best truck I have ever owned.

Come for the HEMI Stay for the Comfort - Updated

I got out of a 2004 Ram 1500 with the HEMI and tried looking into the Ford F-150 (my wife insisted). I test drove a few Fords, but I wasn't overly impressed. Many of them had extensive rust issues for being 5-6 years old, and I wasn't about to go from one rust bucket to another. We found the truck I currently own (94,xxx miles), and I knew that the HEMI's were nothing to sneeze at, so we test drove it. Needless to say, we put the hold payment on it the same day. I was shocked at the ride comfort. I have two small kids that require car seats so we went with the crew cab. My wife rode in the back seat and the front seat. She liked both. I was impressed with the ride quality even on the 20" OEM wheels. I can still hear the rumble inside the cab, but the road noise is minimal. Fuel economy is far beyond what I expected from the HEMI. My '04 never breached 19.8 MPG calculated, and this truck has done 21.1 (calculated) on four separate trips. Since my children came along so did almost every piece of their clothing, bedding, toys, and related paraphernalia that we have for them and the truck still out-performed my expectations for a V8 truck, loaded down. Only thing that RAM needs to correct is the exhaust manifold header. At 101,xxx miles, I heard the infamous exhaust "tick" and scheduled an appointment to have the headers replaced. Not too costly, but mostly an annoyance. Other than that, I don't have any other complaints. 2022 Update: The truck now has 109,000 miles on it. Added (1) more child to our family. The truck still comfortably fits them and all their stuff. I'm still seeing 21+ mpg (calculated, not per computer) on longer trips. I run full synthetic oil and MOPAR or Fram TG oil filters and change around 4,000 miles. The oil filters are not easily changed, but it can be done at home. I was never a big fan of the electronic 4WD activation, but all modes still work great. I've pulled out medium tree stumps, towed out stuck vehicles, and have done little logging road adventures with the truck (I have not lifted the truck and I'm still running the OEM size tires). It works great. Definitely need to run mid-grade fuel (minimum) in the truck to get the best fuel economy and power out of the HEMI. I'm still pleased with the truck, and I'm hoping to have it for more years to come.
