Positives: Fun to drive. Good acceleration. ABS saved my life once. Good reliable car for almost 8 years until my son totaled it. Negatives: At 5 years needed new AC charge. At 7 years, replaced fan relay ($8 bucks).

I bought this car when first available. It has been trouble free to drive I now have 145K miles on it. Nothing but routine maintainence, no oil leaks and great gas mileage. My husband does the tuneups and oil changes. He loves the fact that you can count on this car to perform.

My mom bought this car brand new in July '94. It was pretty good for the first 3 years, then she began to experience problems after. The transmission conked out after 86,759 miles.

I've had this car for 7 years. Head gasket replaced under warranty at about 10k. AC failed at 56k. Besides that, however, NOTHING has failed. Just fill up the gas, change oil, and go! Unfortunately, now, at 100k, I noticed some leaks under the car. I've been told it's a bearing seal. Overall: great looking, pretty reliable car. Well, after saying "Hi!" (remember that?), it's time to say "Bye!" to this cute car.

No problems here

This car is cheap, fun to drive, and, in my experience, very reliable. The only problem that I've had is that the radio burned up and damaged the AC controls at around 90k miles. Other than that, I've done nothing but normal maintenance. This car is great.
