Full Size car with plenty of room
Attractive car with great head and leg room front and back.Pretty fast for a V6. Adequate gas mileage. Adequate trunk space.Horrible suspension SUPER SOFT. I bought car for I wanted a good car for long trips. I am very tall this car is super easy to get in and out. Spacious interior. One of the most comfortable cars to sit in. Average reliability but I have never owned a car with a softer suspension which is one of the main reasons I got rid of it. They no longer make Oldsmobile's so trade in value low. Had major repair bills after 60k traded car in a dealer gave me next to nothing for the car. Most disappointing car I ever owned.

very pleased
I bought this car with 115000 miles on it. It now has 141600 on it and has been fairly trouble free. Its fuel efficiancy for a large car is remarkable. The 3800 series II moves this big car very well. I have been very happy with it since the day I bought it and I'm afraid to get rid of it someday. Other than the upper intake plenum blowing apert one time and sucking all the coolant into the engine, I have'nt had any other big problems with my 88.
Great Car
I have owned this car for 7 years. It has GM's legendary 3.8 Liter V6. Puts out 200 spunky horses. Nice space in the cabin. No cheap plastic console to sit next to. This is a great car. It is no "accident" that GM hit the skids shortly after they stopped making Oldsmobiles. The car has rubber cushions on the bumpers - not just a cheap piece of plastic waiting for the first nick. Until GM can (or anyone) can build a car this great again - I will just keep running it.
88 keeps on rollin'
I bought my 88 with 110,000 miles and it now has 155,000 miles. I have replaced the front struts and water pump. Just recently, the anti-lock brakes light came on, but brakes work ok. The car runs good and averages about 21-24 mpg.
