Order extra CVT while you are buying Sentra
CVT is crap, 5yrs and 80k miles Nissan reason for not helping on transmission repair is “due to age of vehicle” can’t help. Hey Nissan it’s 5yrs 60k mil warranty how is that due to age. But offered B plan from dealer, buy new Sentra. Hell NO to Nissan, not in my driveway. I’ll rather buy more reliable Honda or Toyota. Screw me once and we are done. That’s customer appreciation, bought two brand new Nissan. On my way to HONDA dealership

bought a lemon ...where's the lemonade
BE VERY CAREFUL BEFORE purchasing this car. Beautiful to look at but poor warranty and resale value. Just after the three year warranty was up the car will not shift into gear! This is a constant problem and the dealer want mega bucks to fix...says the whole shift assembly needs to be replaced (at my cost of course). After waiting for (4) hours in the lounge, took the car home without getting the repair. The car was not inexpensive and now needs more repairs. In my book, that means the car is not a good value nor is the warranty.

Very Pleased So Far
I've owned my Sentra SR with the Driver's Package for one week. I previously drove a 10-year old Corolla with a lot of life left in it but in looking toward the future, now was the right time to make a purchase. I am a lifelong Toyota owner and am hoping this car is as reliable as my Toyotas have been. I compared the 2013 Corolla, Mazda 3, Jetta, Civic, Elantra and Sentra. Each had its benefits and drawbacks - it comes down to finding the right fit for the driver. I do not feel like I am driving an "economy" car which was part of the appeal of the Sentra. I have heard it called the "Small-tima" because it closely resembles the Altima.
2013 Nissan Sentra is the worst vehicle!
Transmission failure at 60k, broke 7 months into having possession of the vehicle. RED MCCOMBS HYUNDAI NORTHWEST OF SAN ANTONIO TEXAS IS THE WORST! Did not take responsibility to fix the problem, brushed it off and kicked us out! It costs less to fix the problem than to lose a life. Never buy from there, never buy a nissan with a CVT. It will drive one day and die the next, it is horrible that I can not even use my air condition because my car will shut off. This car is a lemon and trash.

Avoid at all costs
The CVT transmissions on these Nissans is as bad as all these reviewers (and other reviews on other chat rooms). I had my transmission replaced at 35K miles and they told me the tranny fluid burns up quickly on their CVTs so replace it often (every 15k miles...which is twice as frequent as recommended). I have followed their advice and have replaced fluid twice and now with 61K miles I am seeing signs of what was going on before my 1st transmission failed. It slips at low gears, revs high at idle and kicks hard when it hits certain gears. I have taken to dealership and am told if it fails I am out of luck and replacement would be $4K range. I am selling now and will get a Honda or Toyota. I was hoping that enough of these transmission issues would result in a recall that would cover me but I can't risk it.
