I owned my first Murano for 7 yrs, 145,000 miles. I liked it so much I bought another. This one has many more electronics. The front seats are much more comfortable. I am getting better mileage than the older model. The turning radius is wide. It was the same on former model. Just something to get used to.

What an impression for my 1st SUV

I've owned sedans my entire life but with a recent purchase of a home I started feeling I needed to get a truck or SUV to assist in the maintenance of the home. My trade was a Camry XSE V6 that I really loved. I found the Murano SL with panoramic sunroof had all the features I wanted at a very attractive price (I would have paid about the same for 2018 maxima or camry) Once I saw the vehicle and sat in it I was really surprised. It didn't drive like some big clunky truck but more like a really high end caddy. Everything was very smooth, acceleration, road noise, and this SUV ate up bumps and imperfections on the road like they didn't exist. I absolutely love the 11 speaker 2 subwoofer Bose system. with that system you wouldn't hear any road noise anyway. The cabin was amazing, I got the cashmere Leather interior and all leather surfaces were covered with a rich light beige leather that was very soft to the touch. The wood grain almost resembled a marble type appearance and was reminiscent or a modern grey/white kitchen. It looks really high end (even nicer than you see in most luxury brand SUV's. for a price barely over 30K this SUV was loaded to the hilt with every possible technology feature, cross traffic, auto cruise control, heated seats, mirrors, steering wheel (although not much demand for that in FL). After a couple hundred miles I already don't know how I lived without the 360 camera with motion sensors. It makes parking a vehicle much larger than any sedan I owned extremely easy. The cabin and seats are among the most comfortable I have ever sat in, the seats have great reviews which are well deserved. the back seats even recline (which may be common for SUV but I've never seen it). I'm still learning the voice commands, android auto, and I haven't played much with the navigator yet but I imagine I'll really enjoy using all the extra technology this vehicle has to offer. Anyway instead of missing my Camry I'm enjoying my new found passion for SUV's. Good Show Nissan!

In total honesty, I upgraded to a 2018 Nissan Murano SL from a 2004 Toyota Corolla. That's a big jump in terms of size and style. While the 2004 Corolla I owned had fantastic quality, I'm equally impressed with the quality thus far of my Murano. In addition, the ride is smooth, road noise is minimal, and the interior styling and comfort is second to none. It's one of the most comfortable cars I've ever ridden in actually. We got the cashmere leather interior that looks just phenomenal. And for its size, the fuel economy is really not bad at all. Acceleration onto the highway is good and it holds the road well. The steering wheel is not overly sensitive. While the car comes equipped with Bose speakers, and the overall entertainment system package is good, I wouldn't say that it's better than that found on other vehicles in the same class. All in all we're very happy with the car and plan on driving it for many many years to come.

Granted, I've only had it one month but it's already my favorite. I have the SL with panoramic sunroof. Pluses include a unique (dare I say sexy?) exterior, incredible interior - plush and stylish with excellent and very comfy seats, above avg MPG for a V6 SUV, good acceleration, an amazing all-around view camera system, built in navigation, tons of electronics, and a good safety suite. I especially like the blind spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control. It also has plus handling for this sized vehicle. The not so good? A Bose sound system with 11 speakers and 2 subwoofers? Ya whatever. My last vehicle with a "standard" audio system was far better. I don't get how it can't be better than it is, but it's a very average sound system. The sound system needs a lot of work. I'd like to have more storage when the back seats are up, but hey we can't have it all. I'd also like to see some hidden storage underneath the rear floor. And it's definitely not a towing vehicle. If you have a large boat or trailer, look elsewhere. This is a car in SUV clothing. Lastly, my Murano always feels like the wheels are out of balance. I took it back to the dealer after one week of owning it - they re-balanced the wheels which made a slight improvement but I get more vibration at highway speed than I'd expect in a brand new vehicle. At this point, I feel like it's the tires. They are Michelin's which is a good brand but it's really the only thing I can think of. My last vehicle (a sedan) had Michelin's and it rode like a dream but it could be these are the very low end of their line. None of the above complaints deter me from highly recommending this vehicle! If you want a very classy, upscale near luxury SUV at a bargain price compared to Lexus or Caddy - look no further! ** 2 year update. My Murano is still going strong. Actually it's better. The vibration I described worked itself out. I re-tuned the stereo and it's actually a pretty good sound system. I think SUV's have some limitations but all in all, this is a nice, well-balanced sound system. It sounds best at higher volumes. I've not had a single issue with the car after two years and I love it even more now than I did then. Great vehicle and I'll keep it for a long time to come! ** 2.5 year update: Still love my Murano! No mechanical or other issues of any kind. Routine maintenance only. Yes, there are certain limitations as noted such as lack of towing ability. Only slight disappointment is that I don't get the MPG that is advertised, but it's not horrible either and all in all - I continue to love my Murano and can highly recommend it! 3 Year update - Still love my Murano. No major changes to my overall recommendation. I did just have to change out brake pads in the summer of 2021 on the rear brakes at 30,000 miles which is ridiculous imo. Other than that minor quibble, everything else still works great. Minimal issues overall - zero mechanical problems and runs great. Comfy as ever and looking forward to many more miles ahead. 4 year update: Paid my Murano off own this beauty free and clear, and still loving it. No mechanical issues to speak off. Minor quibbles are gas mileage is slightly disappointing, and there is a lack of storage space in the front of the cabin. That said, there is so much to like about this car - most of which has already been posted so won't go over again. I plan to keep this beauty for many more miles. Still highly recommend! 6 year update: Still as strong as ever. Still love it. Zero plans to sell or trade this beauty in. Two small dings (understanding it's now 6 years old) It has developed a minor tear in the leather on the driver's seat. And the front headlight lenses are getting cloudy. I'll look into remedies for both. Zero mechanical issues, runs like a top, and outside of a rear brake job, I've only ever done oil/filter changes for the life of the vehicle. I'm sure that will change at some point, but great car. No regrets whatsoever!
