Fun to drive, head turning, comfortable, carefree (because of the navigation and keyless entry) no more searching for your keys in your purse, I wish my house had this too! Camera when backing up, no worries about running someone over, smooth drive, easy to handle, DVD player for the 2yr old, awesome bose stereo and 6 cd holder, I am in Love with this car!!

Saved my life

I was recently involved in a major auto accident (thankfully not my fault). I was hit head on, then rolled 3-4 times travelling across all 3 lanes & the hard shoulder, only when my car nose dived into a grass verge did it come to a rest on my (driver's) side. All safety features that this car has as standard did their job. I was pulled from the wreckage with a couple of broken ribs & a lot of bruising on my torso. As each & every emergency service member said, the car saved my life. They couldn't believe what the car went through & yet I got out relatively unharmed. My next car? Another Murano! We were sold on the car from the safety features alone when we bought it, plus the CVT - awesome :

Why not a Murano

We have had a Nissan Murano since December of 2005. The car is excellent for road trips. I have taken three teenagers, 15, 18, 19 on several road trips in the past two years and have not heard complaints from the back seat. We find gas mileage on the highway averages around 26mpg, 28 if its really easy driving. Around town we find this to be the perfect urban SUV. INterior is very nice the dash is easy to use and the handling is outstanding. Similar to our old maxima. Cargo space is quite good, see 3 teenagers, 2 adults road trip, everyone brought a suitcase and a couple of coolers. I plan to drive this until the wheels fall off.

I've had this car for almost 2 years now and within first month I was stuck at work with a car that wouldn't start. Ended up being battery which wasn't covered obviously. then I had to go back like 3 months later for another problem, car wouldn't move, they claimed that from a good previous rain storm that something got flooded out internally and whatever repair it was, was covered. Then I went back again for some grinding noise, ended up being wheel barrings which were covered again. Then I went BACK again for some rattling noise it was making. Ended up paying 1100 freaking dollars for all these repairs only to have to come back 2 weeks later for a squeeky noise. and then it cut off. Beware

Most of the time I love my Murano. However, when I have problems it seems to take multiple visits to the dealer to cure them. It took a year to solve a creak in the sun visors. I've made at least 4 visits for a creaking driver's door. Any road imperfections make it creak and it is embarassing when you have others in the vehicle. The door panel has to be replaced. Cruise control will occasionally not respond when I tap the brake pedal have to slam on the brakes or turn off cruise control. The dealer just replaced the master cylinder hoping that will cure the problem So doI! Nissan should spend more money on the interior. It feels like all the money was spent on exterior design.

This version of Nissan Murano has over 80 cubic feet of cargo storage and will carry almost anything you want to move. I move furniture, 9' ladders and live trees with no problem. It handles like a car, corners well and will actually fit in a compact parking space. The back seat has great width and is very roomy. You have to love the rearview camera and nice Bose radio.

Best SUV I have ever owned! Have had it 2 years, and am drooling over the new one! Can't see myself without a Murano ever again. Tranny is great, good gas mileage, hauls my toys very nicely (4 wheelers, snowmobiles, waverunners) and my dogs love it. I average 20 MPG, around 23 on the freeway on trips, with fairly aggresive driving. Highly recommend this vehicle to anyone looking!

I love my car, and I tell everyone! I get asked how I like it by interested strangers and tell them about the 26 MPG highway (22 city - I drive less aggressively than most though) people seem surprised that is gets the same MPG as my maxima did. My friends called it the YAV - Yuppie Assault Vehicle until I took it camping. Don't let the leather seats fool you - the Murano handled the dirt roads, streams and beach as well as my mom's Jeep! I can't wait to get a tow-bar to pull the toys. This is my 2nd Murano I upgraded from a 2wdS to the 4wdSE and will drive it as long as it goes!

Had a 1999 jeep grand cherokee that gas mileage was 17 to 18 all the time. I am hard to please. I have a 2004 turbo Porsche with 444 hp. I looked at the suvs. that are out there. Took me 9 months. The Nissan Murano was just the best. Period. I have been around cars and have flagged races for years all over the country and have owned MGS to Delornes. Edmunds says the cvt trany saps power. I don't think he has driver the transmission. Quality is out standing. Everything fits and it all works as they say it should. If you want a good suv try one of these. A test drive will sell you as it did me.

I absolutely love my murano, my kids and I can't get enough driving and riding in it. I love the intelligent key system, it's makes so much since for a mom who's usually got my hands full to not have to go dig in my purse for keys. The backup camera is great, I had the beeping on my last car, liked that too, but the camera is better. All of the safety features are a great big plus for me since I have children, I do feel safe in it. I like the t.v. and dvd player in the center console, it can be concealed when not in use. I wish it had bluetooth capability, and there does seem to be some glare on bright days, overall I love this car. It's really a sexy looking vehicle for a woman.

Make sure you have the car checked out before making a commitment in buying the vehicle. These cars are traded in from someone else, then is not fully checked out by the person selling the vehicle. Too high priced for one thing, and also the mileage on this 2006 Nissan murano is too high for the cost of buying the car. It is a nice looking car inside and out but had a brake problem squelching when stopping which the seller was willing to fix if buying the Murano. Not good gas mileage according to the rating on the web. Only 20 in city and 25 highway if that. The vehicle is too heavy and is the reason for the low mileage. It was fully loaded and that was the reason for the price of 8,995.00 which I thought was too high in price. Still checking other vehicles out to make sure I want this car or not. What is your opinion on what I quoted.?

Not since my first Maxima years ago have I experienced so much pleasure in driving a vehcile. There is nothing about the Murano that I don't like - it's comfortable, well-appointed and well-designed, and an absolute delight to drive. The CVT is addictive - once you get used to it, you'll never want to go back. I actually don't mind my hour commute each day to and from work, now. Always a Nissan fan, but now I'm reminded why!

Our new Murano is just an all around great vehicle. This vehicle was purchased for my wife. She drives approximately sixty miles a day and we live in the country. She sometimes has to work late hours and is on the expressway late at night, both winter and summer. From what I have observed so far, this vehicle gets far better mileage than her 2003 Santa Fe which we traded in. This car is loaded, rides great, is fun to drive and I think has all safety features available in a vehicle. We purchased chrome wheels, (extra) but they really set the looks of this vehicle off. For the money, this vehicle beats Lexus hands down. For the money, our Santa Fe was good but this Murano is great!! We love it.

I just turned in my 04 Maxima SL for a Murano SL with all the goodies. Seats are great, drive is smooth and does not roll like some other SUV's. Turns much sharper that my Max did, real nice for pulling into my garage. I actuaaly get better gas mileage than I got on my Maxima. I travel for business and I'm sure this will meet all of my needs.

Finally a SUV with a sports sedan feel, it's not your mom's SUV. We purchased an '06 Murano 3 weeks ago, after driving all of it's competitors. It was the ride and styling of the vehicle that sold us. None of the others compared for the $$$. It's a fun car to drive with a comfortable and well laid out interior. We are looking forward to a long road trip.

Ok, what can i say about my beauty?? I leased 06' S AWD. I wished i could have afforded the next model; but am very happy with my Murano. It's very spacious inside especially with two growing kids (back seat reclines) just perfect in my book! seats are very comfortable for fabric; that is. Drove this car to S.C.(12 hour drive) and back with no problems whatsoever. This is the most comfortable vehicle i have leased. At the end of my lease, I will more than likely purchase or if the style remains somewhat the same get another one; of course, THE WORKS!

Amazing ride for a SUV

I chose the SE for improved handling and cornering and it is amazing. You feel the bumps a bit but this softens over time. I have owned almost every SUV out there and I love this. Amazing acceleration. Great interior. Got it fully loaded for at least 15K less then the RX 400h and FX. I previously owned an RX330 and it was like driving a girls car (boaring) with too much lean. I actually had to wait 3 months for it to be delivered with my specs-exact color, nav, dvd, satellite, backup camera, smartkey. Can downshift even though with the CVT there are really no gears. Mileage would be better then 18- 20 mph but I ride it very aggressively. My wife uses low-octane, I use mid- range. I love it.

The 2006 Nissan Murano provides solid performance, great comfort, remarkable versatility and better than 20 miles per gallon economy. Road noise is low, the ride is firm, but comfortable, and the handling is superb. The vehicle came from the factory with perfect fit and finish, and no maintenance issues in its first 5000 miles of use. The engine/CVT transmission combination is responsive, fun to drive, and smooth. The interior is comfortable, very roomy, and well thought out. The heater/air conditioning controls are easy to use and the instrument panel/front dash is well engineered and attactive. Seating is very comfortable and cargo capacity is wonderful.

What a great car! I was looking at an Audi A4 originally, but thought I'd check out the Murano, specifically for its navigation system. What can I say? The damping on the SE model is superb for an SUV - corners really flat without the ride being harsh, the refinement is excellent, the engine is eager and tuneful and the underfloor storage is invaluable. Also, best navigation system I've ever used.

We have had our Murano for only one week. I have only driven it about 300 miles. The little I have driven it I relly love it. I can definitely tell the Nissan quallity. Vehicle rides very smooth and is very quiet. Automatic AWD is great. The CVT transmission really gives the vehicle a smooth and quiet ride. Can't feel the trans shift at all. So far my all around gas mileage is about 20 mpg. Also feel very safe driving this vehicle.

If your looking for comfort, style, passenger safety, and performance with decent fuel ecomony, look no further... the Murano will not dissapoint you. The Murano is everything you expect from an SUV, with the ride, feel and appointments found in luxury sedans. This vehicle replaced a Subaru and afforded the size and upscale amenities sadly lacking on the Subaru.

This car replaced my 2000 Lexius Rx300. The Lexus was a great car, but I like the Murano even better. I don't think the Lexus is worth $10,000 more, same price maybe I would have gone back to Lexus.Just completed a 3000 mile I95 trip down and back to Florida and got 23 mpg fully loaded and high speed. Unlike others I like the metal finishes on the inside. Gives a high tech and cool feeling. Great seats and I LOVE the rear camera.Holds a ton of stuff. 18 inch tires give the vehicle great height, but still easy to get in and out of and I am only 5.6.

The Murano is a nice car but the gas mileage stinks. although it says 20 mpg in the city and 25 on highway on the posted window tag, the real truth is 15 mpg city driving. The dealer told me to switch to high test gas and I did. now I get 15.7 mpg. I don't rough ride the car and don't pull out fast from stops. I had a nissan Max before and was satisfied with 20 mpg. so this is a big drop, especially when gas was 4.00 per gal. The interior came only in black or Tan. Not much of a choice. It does have a lot of room and has a good ride, city and highway. I have a 2007....

One of the best cars I ever owned was a Nissan Maxima. While a very different type of vehicle, the Murano offers the same responsive and well built qualities that my Maxima had. It is a pleasure to drive, and is very sure footed in the snow. Unlike the previous SUV I just traded in, the Murano is all wheel drive all the time, so there is no shifting to 4 wheel drive and grinding when backing up or turning at slow speeds. The Murano is smooth and responsive. The radio controls on the steering wheel. automatic lights, and others features are nice touches. Instead of trying to jam in a cramped 3rd row of seats, the Murano has spacious and comforable rear seats with plenty of room for 3 people.

Perfect vehicle for me, often carrying large photo equipment. Hauls all my long cargo when needed with more secure privacy than most SUVs. When I am not hauling equipment it provides a classy ride and great performance. I felt very safe on rainy and slushy roads thanks to great handling and road holding. All this with good highway mileage. Could use a little more low end torque.

Probably the best car we've purchased. Great handling in mountain roads and plenty of power to pass on a grade. Love the changes in the interior over the 2005. Quiet ride. This is a must drive for someone who wants the height of a SUV but not the bulk of the large SUV

Murano is a Great Vehicle

The Nissan Murano is a solid, sylish SUV that has a lot of interior room for a mid-size SUV. All the standard features, the ride, body style and power are what sold me. The engine gives you all the power you need and you don't feel the transmission shifting as you are gaining speed. If you are looking for a great automobile that has style, power and is luxurious, this may be the SUV for you. The other factor that sold me was the dealer. Arron Carter of Bankston Nissan, Irving, Texas, had a low key approach and was very interested in helping us find a vehicle that met our needs. From the top down, I think this is one of the better dealerships in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

This SUV was the last of my test drives and I purchased it the same day. I got lots of interior space for 4-5 people, love the cockpit driver area with big dash board and over-abundance of added optional equipment. I went for "fully-loaded" with no regrets. Right away I was impressed with the quickness of acceleration and handling. It's a nice quite ride and the front dash is well centered and balanced with features. I have had no real issues and would repurchase a month later this same SUV. I find it's cute to look at, easy to park and fun to drive. The gas mileage is accurate and now I just need to plan a trip to the mountains to fully appreciate this vehicle.

When I drove my mom's Murano for the first time, I knew I had to have one of these for myself. Just picked up my new one yesterday and so far am loving it. Nissan has made great improvements thos this car in both looks and features over the past 2 years. This car gets great mileage for an SUV with so much power. I believed it was the best in its class and truly believe it now that I'm behind the wheel of one of these babies. The seats are very plush and comfy - great for my long road trips. Can't wait to test out the AWD on the snow!

I purchased this car for the safety features and supposed gas mileage. This car handles great and I love to drive it. I purchased this car about 6 months ago and was in one hit and run accident Christmas Eve. The safety features worked beautifully, the repairs were done and the car drives like nothing ever happened.

What a wonderful vehicle. I love everything about it. The ride is great and all of the equipment is just like it's big brother the Infiniti FX. Recommend everyone who is looking at a Murano buy it you will not regret the purchase

After driving quite a few other makes ranging from the domestics to Toyota and Lexus, the Murano seemed to give the most features for the buck without that conservative blah feeling. I have always been a fan of Nissan's engines (a mechanic friend considers them "bulletproof"),though this is the first one I have owned- I am not dissappointed. The CVT transmission is shiftless and doesn't quite give the thrust of the same engine in other applications, but I feel the Murano is still one of quickest of the vehicles I drove. The safety is there for my wife and daughter but most of the SUV's seemed generally well equiped in that respect.
