Own a car you love

I had a 6 speed manual Maxima for 6 years before this one and loved it. I absolutely love the design and drive of 7th generation Maximas. I was just waiting for a great deal on one before buying, but I have wanted one for a long time. The perfect balance between a fun, sporty, sexy car, that is still reliable, good for families, and decently economical. Although the new Maximas don't come in manual, they are still very fun to drive. Quit buying cliche sedans and get a Maxima.

Best car I've ever owned

I've had my 2012 Maxima a little over four years and it now has 60k miles on it, figured a long term review from someone would be helpful...I have had zero issues with the car! Excellent build quality, survived 7 New Hampshire winters, 2 Arizona summers and the paint, molding, under carriage, everything is in tip top shape. It was in an accident last year, no long term effects or shaky ride, still runs and rides like new. You might read negative things about the cvt transmission, but it was mostly other Nissan models, I'm pretty sure Maxima is just fine, as mine has been too. Just replace the fluid ever 30k miles and you'll be good. It's very fast and fun to drive, has a comfortable interior, has lots of options, and makes a safe, reliable, daily driver. I will be going the distance with this car, and doing another review in four more years!

Great car, no issues. Just regular maintenance, recently changed battery. This car has everything! Only thing I would like that it doesn't have is awd.. Update 12/20/19: love this car! Nothing has changed!

I took a long look at Avalon, Acura TL and Buick before buying a Nissan Maxima. I was influenced by the sportiness of the car based on son's inputs in comparisons to all 3 other choices. I liked the Avalon a lot but it felt like an old man's car and overly lavish. The Acura TL was great but the trunk was tiny and it would not hold 2 sets of golf clubs. The Buick had lots of possibilities but it just felt to bulkish and not as well thought out. Shaq's commercial made me look at it twice. It is early but performance has been great, wife loves it and gas mileage is much better than the Volvo XC 90 I traded in. I have only bought Volvo's in the past 5 cars but the XC 90 was terrible.

This is far and away the best car I have ever owned. The quality in the build of the car is apparent as soon as you step into the vehicle. The car is super quick. My previous car was a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP with a 5.3 liter V8. This car feels every bit as fast as the Grand Prix and falls short only at high speeds. I've test drove Accords and Camrys with V6 engines but this car feels like its in another class of performance and luxury. So far I am the second owner of my Maxima. Zero problems. The only issue I would say the car has is not good in snow despite being a FWD car. If you live in a place with snow get some nice snow tires. Still have the Maxima on 3/20/16. Everything i said above - true
