‘09 Maxima with 255,000 miles on it.

I bought my .Maxima new in ‘09. It came with every option except navigation. Things that no longer work or function properly: Electric tilt wheel only tilts/ no telescoping. Driver seat heat/cool function does not work. Everything else works. Car has the original engine and transmission. Always maintained. Committed 120 miles per day in it. All receipts. The car now needs an exhaust manifold. ( Did entire a/c system and brakes, tires over last two years..). Do you think I should fix it or let it go? It’s been ( obviously at 255,000 miles) an awesome car. Repair will probably cost $1,800 to $2,800.

Nissan Security Flawed

I am a big Nissan Enthusiast and was very excited to get my 2009 Maxima. Overall it has been a great car, however, these week I was targeted by car thieves because they knew that the car had a security flaw. They were able to roll down both front windows unlock the doors and get in without setting off the alarm. When the police arrived they informed my that Maxima, Altima and G35 have had this issue since 2004! Why Nissan has not addressed this in the new Maxima model is beyond me. The estimate fix the damaged caused to the door skin and lock is over $1000 and I would still be vulnerable to future break ins. I am very disappointed in this development and Nissan's lack of accountability.

Good Car!

Overall the Maxima is a good car. I came out of a BMW 550 so it was a little getting use too. The payment doesn't hurt as much! The CVT is strange in the beginning but is unnoticeable now. The car is deceiving, with the CVT you get the feeling that you are not going as fast as you actually are. Very roomy. Decent highway fuel mileage.

My car was making a roaring noise so I took it to the dealer. The just about replaced the whole front it. The problems with the air condition was exhausting they had to replace the compressor, condenser and found out it was the intake sensor. Now the car is making a squeaking in the back which now it means it need shocks. This car has to many kinks in it that wasn't worked out.
