2018 Nissan Kicks SR - Problem Car!!!!

New Car Buyer, 11/27/2018

Bought new at 114 miles, drove 35 miles Premium radio (supposed to be BOSE, but all radios and speakers in all Kicksare identical.) Radio went black, had sound, turned sound button and sound went off and didn't want to turn back on. BOSE speakers, really?? Started crackling at 50 miles I drove it. Then driving, at around 80-90 miles I drove it, the Collision Alert flashed at me then the hood light and collision warning light stayed on, checked everything....ok. then kept going on and off and in and off several times that night and next day, only had light rain that night and next day, no precipitation. Had Dealership pick up, they had 30 days!!!! I got a Loaner Car but they put a $500 hold on my credit card, really? And the loaner car locked me out, had hesitation when starting several times as well as engine light turning on and collision light too!!!! That was a 2018 Rogue AWD. Definitely want out of the Nissan line of cars, read reviews after I bought it, wish I had prior, then I wouldn't have a Lemon right now and a rude Dealership to deal with. 😡

i brought my Nissan kicks sv at Michael Jordan Nissan in Durham, NC. it had 10 miles on it. Im a big fan of Nissan's and have bought 12 in the last 15 years with no issues. currently leasing another Nissan rogue sport from MJ Nissan that we love. Im feeling betrayed by Nissan. when you buy a new car you expect everything to work and if it doesn't you expect it to be fixed. after about a week in my kicks SV started noticing that the temperature in the car was off. At 61 degrees it was cold and at 62 degrees and up it was 90 degrees having to switch back and forth from 61 degrees when it got to hot to 62 degrees when it got to cold. got to be really annoying. Called the dealership and brought it in and they told me one of the sensors was off and they replaced it. GREAT right!!! Still didn't work. called the dealership and brought it in. they called the nissan techs cause they couldn't figure it out. Nissan techs said it might need a new sensor board so they replaced that. THANK GOD right! still didn't work. so at this point I just am fed up and don't want this car. simple right give me a car that you can control the temperature in. WRONG!!! the dealership said i would need to call Nissan direct to start the arbitration process. called Nissan direct consumer affairs dept. got assign Markita Scott arbitration specialist of the dispute resolution team to start the process. tells me they need to send one of there techs out to my location to inspect the car. the earliest appointment was January 15. Mind you it was November 12. no choice this was the best they can do take it or don't. took that appointment MIchael jordan nissan was nice enough to give me a loaner car in the mean time. they gave me an identical kicks SV. it had the same issue, no temperature control. brought that back and they gave me a rouge sport instead. worked beautifully. loved it. wished i got this car instead. Jan. 15 i met the nissan tech at the dealership for the inspection. we get in the car and warm it up. he has his computer hooked up checking it out. we go for a drive and its still the same 61- 60 dgrees its cold 62-68-75-85 its 90 degrees. we are in the car for an hour with no change even with him making adjustment on his computer. he starts trying to tell me this might be how this is designed to work and how once the internal temperature of the car meets the desired temp it should start working. i said do you think this is my first car.seriously!! he agreed it doesn't seem right. he was going to check two other kicks SV's to compare it to and finish his report and that Markita would get back to me with the findings. got a call from Markita, very nice lady, she said that nissan would be declining arbitration because the climate control is working as it is designed according to the techs report. Shocked i asked so you mean to tell me that nissan purposely designed a climate system that doesn't allow you to control the temperature. she said it is working as it is designed. but would like to offer me a settlement of $1500 dollars for the repairs performed and for any inconvenience it caused and if i agreed to the settlement i would not sue nissan in the future. and then still have a car that does not work properly. i don't think so Nissan!!! this is not right! this not how you treat loyal customers. has this happened to anyone else?

40+ MPG and easy parking

I traded a 1999 Mercedes (bought new) for a Rouge in 2017. But when I saw the Kicks commercial I had to have one. I traded in November 2018 and I LOVE my Kicks. The two tone is Red and black and I hauled 20 bags of mulch with the back seats down. I was shocked they fit. I consistently get 40+ MPG and the handling on the windy roads in the foothills of WNC reminds me of my Benz. Did I mention I LOVE it? I'm a 64 year young woman and feel like a teenager in my cool Kicks!!!!
