I looked at the usual trucks in this class and decided the Frontier was best I am glad I ignored some of the reviews. The truck rides well and is a strong runner

Great all-round truck and value

I had two cars (19 BMW X3 and 21 Tacoma SR5) one of which I rarely drove so I decided to trade both in and upgrade to a truck that had more features for all round driving comfort and fun. I have been doing a ton of research and ultimately settled on a fully loaded Pro4X. No other mid sized truck comes close to all the functionality and creature comforts for the money. Pros: Strong 6 cyl engine; great blend of buttons, dials and technology; solid build quality; quiet ride for a truck; all round just a competent, comfortable, fun truck. Cons: steering is stiff due to hydraulics but I don't mind; prefer electric window in bed; be nice if passenger seat adjustments were electric; underseat storage is minimal with Fender base. I could probably come up with more but they are all nitpicky. It's a true truck and worth the money.

More people need to consider this truck!

If you like old school simplicity and good old fashioned solid construction this is your truck. No turbos, just a reliable naturally aspirated 6 cylinder power plant. Lots of metal parts where the competition uses plastics. Comfortable and solid ride. Reasonable pricing. Good looks. This is an uncomplicated truck that I am sure you will love.

I got the pro 4x in April then decided to take a trip to Georgia and South Carolina from Indian. 10+ there and back not including the driving around I did. It drove great and had 0 problems with it. And I’m not a big truck/car guy so I just drove it down with out checking oil and stuff. Absolutely love this truck in rough terrain and snow. There are complaints about the steering wheel but I don’t get it. My cousin (who is a mother of 3 and out of shape) drove it too and she said she didn’t feel anything. So don’t understand that. But a great truck with a V6 that has a good track record currently. Highly recommend!!!

Love the Look

My decision to purchase the Frontier was its distinctive look and I could get the long wheel base. When I test drove the Frontier, my thought was something was wrong with the power steering on the test vehicle because it did feel like the steering was powered. Salesman informed me that nothing was wrong with the steering and that is by design. So after 6 months of ownership, I'm building up some arm strength driving this truck. The biggest negative for this truck is the lack adequate headlight illumination. I had to change out the halogen headlight bulbs for some LEDs. My 3 Star rating is mainly based on the headlight brightness which is a safety issue.
