Used 1994 Nissan 300ZX Consumer Reviews
You get a lot of bang fo the buck
I bought the 93 Fairlady Z RHD that was used in the movie Kill Bill Vol.1. Let me tell you, this car is as much fun to drive as it is just to wash, wax and park it there and stare at it. I love it more than anything including my jealous girl friend.
Excellent Car
I purchased this car in March of 2003 and I've had now for 6 months. It has been an EXCELLENT car to own. Though it is 9 years old (people tend to forget that when they see its body styling)and has 120k miles, all the major systems are still operating extremely well. I've only had to do minor maintenance on it (lubricating the hood latch and replacing an electric side mirror), but overall I'm very impressed!

The best convertible out there!
I have had this car for 7 years, and it gets more fun to drive every time! No problems, style still current with today's cars! Performance is 2nd to none, and handling is just as good as the coupe. The rarety of the car from '93 - '95 will make it a collector's car in the future. Excellent gas mileage... better than my wife's Honda CR-V! Pearl White with black leather interior and suede on the door panels/center console along with the excellent build quality shines throughout the car, and the V6 engine puts out plenty of ponies to 'get up and go' without the extra weight of power roof motors. Very big trunk for a convertible as well.
My 300zx Twin Turbo
I bought this car from a private party with 114xxx miles on it. The first thing you notice about this car is the body style, I feel this car was way ahead of its time in both looks and performance. This car could easily take a 350z chew it up and spit it out. When the turbos kick in on this car you feel like a plane about to take off the runway. You will not find a 16 year old car that looks better than this car, and you definitely wont find a 16 year old Japanese car that comes stock with as much power as this car. If you find one of these at a good price and your willing to pay for the up keep you can not go wrong.
z best nissan!
This vehicle is a smooth, powerful machine. Performance on these 300zx's are the best of all z's. I've owned an 80's 300zx n/a, and the power to weight ratio is horrible, making it a poor performer. Even though Nissan still made the early 90's Zs heavy, the horsepower went up significantly with the twin turbos. Low end and top end acceleration is awesome, and you can even pass cars in 5th gear on the highway, look ma, no downshifting! Handling is razor sharp, the car moves to wherever you want it,the car makes you confident of its handling. The styling is timeless, looking as good as new exotic cars of today. This car has and always be the ultimate 300zx.
Almost 10 years with this one!
I have owned Zs for most of my life starting with a 1973 240z and now with this 93 2+2. I would rather bought a 2 seater but could not find one in this condition (when purchased). Parts are expensive but mostly reliable and still a classic design ahead of it's time. Only complaints are the stereo, Bose, was very troublesome and low end performance of is poor. Top end and handling is great.
Timeless ride !!
One of the greatest find of my life !! I bought mine from a one-armed man in a Walgreens parking lot in Missouri in 1998, he was going through a divorce and wanted to get rid of all his collector cars before his wife gets her hands on them. I've since put in a twin turbo in my convertible and keep it in Florida for when I go there for vacation..

Best affordable sports car ever.
Turbos are a headache, no matter the manufacturer. That's why I opted for the Z32 NA when looking for a new-used car. It was love at first sight in 1989 when I saw my first Z32 and the passion hasn't left the relationship. Sure she's expensive to keep, but what woman worth a dang isn't? Car parts wear out and need replacing and I happily hand over my credit card whenever necessary to keep my girl on the road and making me happy every day I'm fortunate enough to drive her. Never mind stock. Get one of these and mod the heck out of it for my sheer driving pleasure. The aftermarket parts list for this car is longer than your arm. I'm keeping mine forever.
This is the best car!
I love everything about this car! I got it in my 16th birthday from my dad- it was his car until then. I love how the engine sounds and starting fast in it. It is the funnest car!
my new Z
I've now had this car for a couple of weeks. ABSOLUTETLY LOVE THIS CAR. Everything is good, but one thing i've noticed is that it gives VERY LOW mileage within the city, but at the same time VERY good mileage on the highways! Guess this car was made to speed !!
my 300zx
i drove this car home from Florida after I bought it and had a mind blasting 1250 mile test drive the gas mileage was poor but was well worth the price this car is finicky about what kind of gas and oil you put in it but that's what comes with HIGH preformance
Natural Aspirated is plenty of power
I am one of the luckiest men alive on earth. Found my love sitting in one lot. Original owner just trade her in with only 55,000 original miles on her. Fun to drive. Chick magnet is not even enough for say; however, red is more of a chick cop magnet. Caveats buyers!
Awesome Deal
I paid $7500 for my cherry red '93 Z this February, and have been loving it ever since. It looks great, and is fun to drive, but the top is a hassle. Still a very good car.
Great Car!
I put almost 40k miles on my Z since I purchased it 5 years ago. Just recently I replaced the auto. trans. @ 112k miles. But I expected that. After a few upgrades I got over 110 hp more than the car was rated at the factory. I can't expect the car trans to hold up to that much power after 14 years. Have not needed to replace anything other than that... and brakes!
bizziebee
this is my second 300zx convt and i love them
Concrete quality
These cars are so well built and unplasticy the new ones have interiors that are like the covering on a toy that hangs in a department store. Sitting in the the car you feel surrounded by control and quality. Yes they are not quite as fast as new ones but it feels so right. Someone pulls up next to you ready to race and you look over and wave them on. There's just nothing to prove, you have the better car. If you need to prove the point, buy the turbo, and put in the 400 hp kit.

300ZX is the way to go
Wonderful to drive--like a slot car. No exhaust sounds finer. Too bad they didn't put the twin turbo into the convertible, but then the engine wouldn't sound as sweet, I guess...
A fine automobile
We purchased our 1994 300ZX new and have enjoyed nearly 16 years of driving a fine automobile. It currently has 81,000 miles and we have had very few mechanical issues. We changed the timing belt at 50,000 miles (precautionary) and had a speed sensor malfunction at 75,000 miles. Also, new front brake pads. Other than that, it has been a nearly perfect car. The paint is original and still shines. The 5-speed manual has never experienced the first problem. The car is fun to drive. We took it on four separate 3-month around-the-U.S. trips of about 11,000 each and it was a joy to drive. On three of the trips we carried a tent and other camping gear in the back.
Beware the "Z"
This 300ZX TT (twin turbo) will go 0- 60 MPH in about 4 seconds. Try that with your average Honda Civic. This car is scary-fast, so it is certainly not for the faint of heart. This car is NOT for daily driving unless you are loaded. It may have extreme power but it gets horrible gas mileage, even when you are being conservative with the gas pedal. Really the only thing this car needs is a free-flow exhaust and a better intake filtering system. And don't forget the HICAS... 4-wheel- steering. it is magical how well this car handles (on pavement). Overall, this is not a car, this is a bad ass toy!
300Z time machine
I bought my 94'300ZX N/A 04/15/05 for $9300 with 45,326 miles on it. I love this car! Sporty, classy, and a true performer, its going to be my long term project car as I (stealthily) add to the already amazing design. Handling is outstanding especially when you upgrade to stickier summer tires on larger rims. Performance is respectable enough to embarrass those A4 and BMW 3-series drivers and with some relatively minor (and optional - I just really like going fast...) enhancements, can be a truly devastating competitor. Its not the scary beast that the TT version is, but a damn fine piece of engineering nonetheless. Nissan was way ahead of the curve on this Fair Lady.
Perfect Car!
I recently purchases a 1994 Nissan 300zx and have been complimented by all my friends and strangers. I love the performance of my car and i love the Design. the leather seats are very comfortable and the suede just tops it off as a pure BEAUTY BEAST!..
94' Nissan 300zx 2+2 - loaded beauty
I hope Samantha '02 reveiw is still loving her 94 300zx. I have been in love for 25 yrs. With normal yearly maintenance the least problematic of all luxury sport cars. I've had 83' 280zx, 87' z, 86' Masserati & 88' JaguarXJS, 90 Lotus, 2 T birds & a Vette. She's still my favorite reliable beauty! I've aged but not her. Now it's time for me to sell. My bones getting too old for such low ins & outs. Of all cars owned (16) my 94 300ZX out performed all of them & still turning heads! Heartbroken

20 years ahead
Saw this car spring of 89 and said this is what I will drive forever. I have owned 16 z32's wow! What a ride.
1993 Pearl White 300z Non Turbo
This car has incredible handling characteristics. Steering response is great, short throw shifter is just perfect, and the suspension put's the car on rails through high-speed turns. Easily expect twice the speed limit on posted corners. I've taken 30mph turns at 55-60mph without breaking the car loose. The 222hp non-turbo is more reliable than the turbo and perfectly suited to this car.
Great Z
I bought my Z last year with only 30k. It is fun to drive, reliable, looks great. I have been very happy with my Z.
300ZX 2+2
I now have 172,000 miles on this car. I have replaced the timing belt, struts, power antenna and several sets of brakes and tires. Absolutly no other problems. This is one reliable car and really fun to drive. I am replacing it with a Lexus SC430 which is the only vehicle I can find today that is comparable ( I need to be able to carry a set of golf clubs and a suitcase and none of the other sporty cars on the market can do that). My last 300ZX (1985) went 275,000 miles before the transmission gave out.
Best Car Ever
I bought this car and it had 76,398miles on it and now 1,000 miles later the car has no problems.. It still a beast... I burned a 3000GT not too long ago with it.. and I burn Mustangs with it all the time... basically if you want a GREAT car for not a million bucks get this if you want just a car go get yourself a mustang or a Civic... This car is only for the willing and the worthy... Are you worthy enough?
Love my ZX
I love the 93 300zx, compliments on a daily basis. The bodystyle is so stylish and sleek everyone thinks it 10 yrs newer! It drives like a dream, the leather interior is beautiful. I only wish it had a few more inches of leg room. But that's a small price to pay for a soon to be sought after classic. I'm never selling it.
A sports car for every day life
Although I have sold my Z a few years ago, every time I see one of these on the road, it brings a smile to my face. The Z was my dream car growing up as a teenager in the early 90's. It did not disappoint when I got mine 2x2 in 93. The styling was aggressive, muscular and sexy (better than the current 350 Z). The interior was functional and sophisticated. The seats are comfortable and the hatch was great for storage with the back seats down. The 222 HP engine was eager to rev and a blast to drive. The handling and breaking are top notch and the deep exhaust note was great. The T top was great in the summer. Best of all, this beauty was reliable.
great all-around car to own
So what if it's not the fastest car around. It's still the best automotive design of the past decade. Having driven this car since new, I can honestly attest to the amazing reliability. Only a few problems in almost eight years. It doesn't cost any more than your garden variety Maxima to maintain.
300zx
I love the car, its incredibly fast and is the greatest looking car Ive ever seen.
300zx exelency
one word perfection
Z car rules
One of the best looking, perfoming cars ever built.
1994 300zx Twin Turbo
This car still has curb appeal 20 years after leaving the factory and sent to the USA, With some simple mods you can get to 400 HP, the stock version is very fast and the 5 speed is good, Anyone interested in this twin turbo model should know that there is a vast network of people who can help you with any problems that may come up. twinturbo dot net, Do not waste your time with the NA version, they are a dime a dozen, the real value is with the twin turbo model and the low production numbers of the last 3 years 94-96, I purchased this car 1 year ago with 121K miles and it is very reliable, engine is smooth and maintenance is expensive but needed from time to time, timing belt a must.
What a Car!
An unbelievable machine to garage or use as an everyday driver. Never had any problems and still have the new car smell. Still turns heads. Nissan did it right.
Great looks with a reasonable trunk.
Compared to the competion this is a great two seat convertible. A good size trunk for weekend getaways; no mechanical problems; fun to drive; and turns heads.
nonono
The Z is one of the most beutiful cars I have ever seen. It's handles very well.
Sports car of Sports cars!!
I really dont have anything Negative to say about this car.. its all around features and performance is magnificent. Looks astonishing and when u drive it, you almost certainly feel like u driving in a 80,000 dollar sports coupe.!!!! keep this car for a really long time!
My favorite Nissan
My Z was in nearly mint condition when I bought it in early 2001. Now at 136k miles, it can still consistently run the 1320 in 14.7 sec. Major mods: K&N intake, JWT ECU, headers, exhaust, lightened flywheel, clutch, lightened crank pulley, SS brake lines/syn. fluid. I have yet to experience any ill-effects as a result of these mods or my daily heavy-footed driving. I get an avg. combined city/hwy mileage of 22+ mpg. The driver's seat lower left side bolster is worn through to sharp metal. This is a std. flaw for this car. All of my pants belts have scratch marks on them in the same place. Ordinary drivers (80% bad) will annoy you. People will want to race you. Cops will suspect you.
z crazy
i just bought myself a 1994 300zx n/a, and man what a beautiful car! for being 10 years old youd have thought its design just rolled off the boards at nissan. they were far ahead of their time. fun as hell to drive, and built very solid. when you drive it you can feel somethign special about it. turns heads and smokes civics!
13 sec 1/4
i have a 1993Z that dose 13 sec all kitted out lots of upgrade with nos. fun to drive.
Fun whip to drive
This is the hottest car i've driven.. Easy to hook up..
Best value in a sports car
I've been looking for a 300Z for many years, but it had to be the right one. Recently I found it - one owner, low miles, never seen winter and No MODIFICATIONS. It had the original titanium key, books, t-top covers. It's been everything I had hopde for. Gerat performance, fun to drive and a real quality built vehicle. I didn't opt for the twin turbo - too much hassle. And it was a bargain at just over $10K.
94 N/A Coupe, It's Worth It!
I bought this car a little less then 3 years ago. I got it for $5000 with 92,000 miles on it. I had it inspected before purchasing and I was told the car was in good shape. I expected to do the usual routine work on it . What I didn't expect was a crack radiator neck, bad knock sensor, and fuel injector replacements shortly after. But, after droping roughly $6,000 more into the car to get it in perfect running condition it has been nothing but pure joy! It now has 120,000 miles on it with a cold air intake, stage 2 racing cluch, rear strut bars, short shifter, and a sound system. It's awesome to drive, easily customizable, and turns heads! If you have some spare cash this is the car for you!
1994 Nissan 300ZX
I so have enjoyed driving this car. It's great for Sunday afternoon spins. It's fast enough but quick in the turns. At this point I have only replaced the #4 injector. I have thought about trading for muscle but can't bring myself to letting go. For the money, it's the best car I've ever owned.
The Z
Bought one of these from an individual when it had 160,000 miles. I had nothing but trouble with it up until the day I sold it. It was fast (after I replaced the knock sensor that had been retarding the timing ($700)). It handled like a go cart and got lots of looks. T-tops were fun too. I just wasn't happy with it because anything that could have gone wrong with it did while I had it from sensors to pulleys to the transmission.
The Great Z
This is my toy and I love this style and everything about my Z. I have researched quite in depth and what it took to design and build these cars are awesome.
One incredible car
I am now on my 3rd Z. This may be the best yet. This little convertible has it all: 1)Good look (best looking convertible under $60K in my opinion) 2)Reliability (just as realiable as my wife infiniti I30) 3)Decent Performance (It only has 222hp)
Nissans are the best
I think this car is the best sports coupe ever made by any car maker. The Nissan 300ZX should be a car that will never be off the perduction line. These cars are Only for the TRUE drivers.
300 ZX Turbo
I have had excellent experience with this five speed TWIN TURBO which has 'Millen' computer chip , air-filter & exhaust system . Fun car to drive especially with the "T" tops off
