luv this car!
I bought the 2012 Galant because i was looking for something that is reliable and got good gas mileage, and boy does it fit the bill. But what really attracted me is you can get these only a year old at half of their original value, whereas Camrys, Accords etc. are thousands more. The base ES model lacks some bells & whistles found on other cars, however the interior room, comfort and ride is surprisingly good. The body style is a tad dated (from 2004) but with the money I saved it doesnt matter. Power is adequate. Overall a good, solid, reliable vehicle that can be had for a good price.

Great reliable underrated car
Galants are so underrated. It's fun upgrading an older car. I am currently leasing a 2021 Honda Accord, I turned in my 2018 Accord lease in April for the 2021. Honda Accords are my favorites, awesome cars. I had a 2005 Accord Coupe for 11 years without any problems. I wanted a 2nd car for bad weather & to drive to work a couple of days a week in order to keep the miles on my Accord under control. So, in November of 2019 I bought a 2012 Mitsubishi Galant in great condition for a decent price of $5,300 from a Mitsubishi dealership. Let me tell you this car rides like a dream & is super reliable. I added a decent double din JVC Bluetooth stereo (Black Friday sale for $150 installed at Best Buy), a backup camera & $100 JBL 6 x 9 speakers in the rear. I bought a piano black dash kit for $100 to cover the ugly wood molding & added 4 new tires with alignment. The headlights were clouding so I bought a new pair for around $150 from a discount online auto parts store. The car looks good, drives good, is reliable, roomy & comfortable. Since I modernized it with the upgrades, I don't mind driving it at all a few days a week switching from my new Honda Accord. This is a very good & underrated car. I am now a Mitsubishi fan, right after Honda & Toyota on my list. Yes, I wish it had at least 10-15 more horsepower (although I wouldn't call it slow) & a 5 speed transmission but I'm still very happy with it. If you need a 2nd car & can get your hands on a Mitsubishi Galant, it's a great value for a solid reliable car. I highly recommend it. I'm thinking about adding a performance chip.

It's no evo
This Mitsubishi isn't special or have bells and whistles yet it's a comfortable ride and spacious. My model was a base, however I'm sure there are better options available.
So sad to leave...
We've had our 2012 since the beginning of 2014 and man, it has seen us through LIFE. So sad to think of getting a new car, but ours is getting up their in miles and the time may be coming soon. 217,000 miles and still our ol' reliable.
