I bought this car used 4 years ago and have never had any real problems with it. It now has 90,000 miles on it and I have not always taken the best care of it but it continues to run and is a very reliable vehicle.

Most car for the money

I have put 135000 miles on this car and have spent less than $300.00 on repairs. I bought it because you can buy a used Sable for less money than any other car its size. Very good value if you need a roomy family car. The only thing I don't like is the lack of power on the base 3.0 engine. Go for the 24 valve version if you can.

strong performance, especially w/24v dohc duratec motor. Very roomy inside for a midsize car (equivilant to full size import though). Comfortable road trip or small family car. Decent gas Mileage for size (near 25 on freeway)

Best used vehicle I have owned.

I am 73 and have owned a lot of vehicles, both new and used. I bought this car in Florida with 69K miles on it. We have a condo in Fl and live in VT. I drove it (packed to the ceiling) to Vermont (1635 Miles) and never had a problem. When I bought it, I had a wheel alignment and two new tires. Other than that, nothing was done. Although it is a GS model it has a lot of add ons such as the V6 Durotec engine with dual exhaust, leather all around, power seats, security system, chrome wheels etc. The Durotec is fantastic. It is quick (200HP) and yet delivers 28 MPG on the highway. Have had the car for about 9 months and no problems yet.

Great car, except for body design

I found a great deal on this car with low mileage (only had 38000 when I bought it). At first I was turned off by the trunk design... from behind, this is a pretty ugly car. However, it's got it where it counts: The engine has power to burn and it rides very comfortably.
