I purchased a 2011 E350 Bluetec with 80k miles. I did some research before purchasing and liked how the Diesel engines seem to take on lots of miles with out too many issues. I knew, however, that there were some issues and made a budget on how much I wanted to spend for the car and how much I expected to pay in the potential issues. That was probably the best thing I did. The Diesel engine for this year had two main issues that I came across in my initial search. The rear main main seal leaks as well as the seals or gasket on the oil cooler. Unfortunately for me, those were the first two things I had to replace... it was not unexpected but it would have been nice to have left the money in my bank account. The parts were relatively inexpensive but the labor cost was... well let's just say the mechanic I took it to was more than happy to do the work. I ended up spending about $2800 but that is far less than what it would have cost had I taken it to the MB dealership. That issue aside, the car is solid and drives extremely well. It's not a sports car but it is as fast as I need it to be. I drive primarily on the highway so 0 to 60 is not very important. I currently am averaging about 34 mpg. If highway traffic is light, I can get as much as 38 to 39 mpg. Heavy stop and go highway traffic and I am getting about 25 to 27 mpg. My work commute is over an hour so the time I leave from home or work does affect my mpg. Road noise is almost non existent... if traffic is light, I set the cruise control on 75 mph and just zone out to the road ahead. The day Mercedes sells an autonomous driving car will be the day I fall a sleep in the back seat. My wife drives a 2006 Lexus GX470 and it's not as quiet as the Mercedes. That being said, The interior is comfortable but it's not as comfortable as the Lexus GX470. I test drove the 2012 version of this car with the "real" leather seats and I could swear that the seats feel different (i.e. more comfortable) but I chose this one with the "fake" leather because of the price. The layout of the interior is good. My only issue is that the air condition controls feel too low in where it was positioned (a personal preference) and the cruise control seems out of place. I initially thought I would not like the position of the gear shift but after a while it did not bother me at all; I also thought that the knob in the center console would be annoying to use for the phone, radio, navigation but to the contrary I like it more than a touch screen. I really like this car and have been quite satisfied with almost all of it's features. It is not my first luxury car to own (it's my 4th) but is the first Mercedes I have owned. I will add, though, that maintenance is expensive. In fact, unless you can afford a good trustworthy mechanic, I would recommend you become a weekend technician. This means doing your own fluid changes (particularly the oil), minor engine repair and maintenance. My father is a retired Diesel mechanic so there is some advantage for me in owning this car but there are some things I just do not have the time for. Like the repairs I mentioned earlier. I left the car at the shop for 3 days on those two repairs. Funny thing is, I know how to do the job but I am not a certified technician that does stuff like that on a daily basis. If i can't do it myself over a weekend, then I have to go my mechanic... or I should say, my dad's friend who runs his own repair shop. Update: 19Sep2017- Still love the car... but still am going with what I previously stated. It is not cheap to maintain. Even as a DIYer. I change the oil every 6,000 miles rather than 10,000 using full synthetic but after some research on the Mercedes Bluetec engines, I use 10w50 or 10w60 oil in the hotter seasons. 0w40 or 10w30 in the colder season. Texas is generally hot so I primarily use the heavier weight oil. I read a Mercedes technicians blog who indicated the engines run hotter than normal despite what the dealership may say. Using only the recommended oil at the recommended oil interval change may actually cause damage to the engine causing excessive build up of oil sludge. If it's under warranty... dealership will fix... but if there is no warranty, you either have a giant brick or you fix it yourself (or your very happy mechanic). Either way, preventative maintenance goes a long way. Update: 9/23/19 Car still runs well. Stopped switching oil weights and have since stuck with the MB 229.52 recommended motor oils. The reason... soot really accumulated on the heavier oils. I replaced the EGR Valve because of it but in hindsight I may not have needed to. There is a cleaning process I go through on the intake and the DPF to avoid excessive soot and carbon. I do it before I change the oil. I’ve also installed an oil separator (oil catch can), which seems to work alright. I know it’s doing something cause I get better highway mpg (averaging 37 vs 34). Otherwise car runs well... I’m over 172,000 miles.

Nice Car

Have had two Lexus ES350 and one RX350. All were nice, but the RX wasn't the good quality as expected, and was boring. My wife loved the RX, so it took some prodding to change. So far we have 900 mi on the MB E350 and it is much more fun to drive with good quality. Will likely miss the Lexus free maintenance, but this car seems worth it. Very quiet, great music system, nav, etc. The panorama sunroof sold my wife, but it uses a screen to keep out sunlight instead of a solid cover. So in Texas the screen allows some heat through. Keep that in mind. A/C is extremely cold though, so no worries. The Command interface works well for me. Transmission lever is cool but different.

I purchased my 2011 Mercedes e350 blutec(diesel) 3 years ago and I will never purchase another Mercedes again. I have totally lost faith in this brand.. I have spent over $7,000 in maintenance cost on this vehicle in 3 years.. The timing chain broke at 60k miles and just two weeks ago the motors mounts had to be replaced at 109k miles.. I picked the vehicle up and within 4 hours the motor threw a rod and now I'm being told from the Mercedes Dealership it will cost $17k to replace the motor.. I lodged a complaint with Mercedes Benz(Corporate) today and advised them of all of the issues I had with their product. I explained that I would have never thought in a million years a Mercedes Benz diesel motor would go bad @ 109k. I would expect at least 200k to 300k life out of the motor if not more.. The customer service representative advised me someone from corporate would call me tomorrow to address my issues/problems..

MB has produced an exceptional car with the near perfect ingredients of sport, luxury, comfort, convenience, and versatility. I have admittedly drank the cool aide on top down motoring. This is my sixth convertible (1964 Corvair Monza Spyder, 1966 Corvair Corsa, 1978 Fiat 124 Spider, 2001 SLK350, 2006 SC430). My assessment is based on those and other driving experiences (I've driven many other great convertibles: Mustangs, Corvettes, Porsches, BMWs, Audis). I have less than 10k miles on the car and yet I find myself inordinately happier with each passing mile (a first for someone who is considered a total car [violative content deleted], buying more than 30 new car over the last 25 years, yes my wife is encouraging me to get therapy).

Traded my 2010 E350 in for a 2011, in black. Couldn't resist the 2000 loyalty cash, 3 years free Mbrace services including stolen vehicle recovery assistance, plus 1.9 % financing for 66 months. This 2011 has the LED daytime running lights, and the vehicle is much quieter than my 2010 was. Ride is also smoother, at least it seems that way. No problems with the 2010, and no problems with the 2011. I felt that the shifting was a bit buffeting, but when I told the service manager, he said that would go away after a few days when the computer gets used to the way I drive. Well, he was right - unbelievable. Still the best car on the road for the money.

E350 My Ride Update

This is my 1st Benz. I have black with black interior. I've always liked the look of this car but initially I didn't like it after I purchased it. I drove a BMW prior and loved the way it handled. The E isn't bad it just wasn't a BMW. I don't have the xenon headlights and the stock headlights sucked at night, I replaced them with aftermarket HIDS and it's much better. The windshield wipers are also painfully slow so I use rainx washer fluid and it works pretty well. The car had 48K on it when I got it and now has 108. The autoclimate is one of the best I've owned, you set it and forget it but I've had some trouble with it cooling then blowing hot air on high fan and dealer hasn't been able to fix the problem. Like I said, the car grew on me, I love the look and always get compliments when its clean. My wife has a 09 Lexus 350 and the Benz initially felt sluggish compared to it. I think the Lexus seats are slightly more comfy on long trips but I'd prefer the driver of the benz vs the Lex. I'd buy another 350 but I think I'd prefer the 550. In my family because I purchased an E350, my sis bought a 350 as did a cousin and he also bought an S550. I'd recommend it but make sure you drive it 1st and not just around the block. UPDATE:My car now has 176k miles on it. It has remained trouble free. I still like the car but it eats tires, especially the back ones as I have stacked tires. The a/c acts up periodically as mentioned earlier and I’m told it needs a new compressor. I’ve also added a 08 CLS to the fleet and man it’s really nice, plenty of power and comfort. I bought from a private party with 123k miles and it now has about 150k. It too has been trouble free. I was recently at the shop with it and was told it also needs a new compressor. Update. The car now has 250k miles and it still runs good. I’ve had to do a transmission service and tune-up. The drivers seat has started to tear. The a/c compressor continues to work and this past summer a mechanic said it had a leak at the Shroader valve, he replaced it and I haven’t had anymore problems with it, blows ice cold. I’m in the market for a new car, might go S Class or 7 or the X7 Bimmer. Now my son has a 5 Series BMW a little newer than my E and they drive night and day different. The bimmer has a fun factor to it the Benz doesn’t have and I love how the 5 transmission shifts and how the car handles curves, the E is more of a cruiser, at 250k miles it still gets compliments, the E holds 4 people better in good comfort and it has that taste of snob appeal. I’m going to keep the car, it’s great to have a backup.

Ran great and looked awesome then 100k came. The seal issue in the BluTech diesel is real, MB wanted nearly $7k to repair it so it was time for it to go. My opinion is the entire MB experience was highly over rated.

There were 2 problems with this car. First, the front bumper is too close to the ground and too easily scratched and damaged. Second, the camber adjustment on all four wheels was poorly conceived and built. I had to buy an after-market camber kit to stop ruining tires. I have it fixed now. The car is a joy to drive and is quiet and very comfortable.

My 2011 E350 has been a DREAM CAR. It rides so beautifully. Have never had one problem with it. For a couple years I drove to Palo Alto from North Bay and it was a white knuckle drive everyday. The Distronic Drive was always on track, and made the drive palatable. The lane Change/Blind Spot assistance is remarkable, and kept me out of several bad accidents. It literally pulled me out of a lane on several occasions, before i ran into the other car. It also kept me awake when driving home, late at night, because it monitors driving and can see that if there is drifting, shaking the wheel to wake the driver. The seats are sublime. Just absolutely LOVE this car. Aside from the amazing engineering of this car, it is absolutely gorgeous. I've got a white pearl, with almond MB-TEX interior. I frequently get compliments on it.

6th Mercedes - Very Impressed

This is my 6th Benz since '88, and my 4th convertible. It is a major step up from the 2 CLK's I owned (03 and 05), and it is, naturally, much more car than the 07 SLK I traded in for this one. The quality of all the interior materials and finishes is excellent, the top works smoothly and quickly, and when closed it rides extremely quietly for a soft-top. The navigation system is vastly improved over the horrible SLK system I endured for 3+ years (which was an insult at over $2K), and, surprise!, the Germans have figured out cup-holders finally! But seriously, it is a solid, extremely well built car.

I have owned the E350 sedan for a year and a half and alternate it between a 2009 S550 and a 2007 BMW 530i. I live in Costa Rica where the roads consist of endless pot holes and hap-hazard patches with undulating curves and steep inclines. The E350 has proven to be a very capable car and is the one I choose for the twisty mountain roads. It is not outright sporty, but extremely agile and confident on the curves and absorbs the rough surfaces without completely isolating the driver, no simple feat considering the coil suspension. The engine and transmission make short work of passing and climbing steep hills and the brakes don't exhibit fade on long downhill treks. Overall, highly impressed.

Wonderful car for the intended purpose; very happy with the purchase. A most relaxing ride; very comfortable & supportive seats and least amount of road noise I have experienced in a car. Have the premium 2 and sports package. Got 46mpg with cruise control going 71mph on a road trip; around town average ~30. Get well over 500 miles per tank of diesel. Stereo system overall is fantastic, navigation system is a much needed improvement over previous generation and is very good. Engineering is what is expected; best in class trunk size when trunk closes engineered to not pinch the luggage! All season floor mats a must for us; cost extra but are great. Bluetooth works fine & easy to set up.

I have had this car since 5-2011 and have now put 15,000 miles on it. It's solid, fits me like a glove, handles well, if not like a sports car and has all the bells and whistles I need. I added the luxury package, steering wheel, dynamic seating (a must have) and the P2 package. Fuel mileage has been almost 32 overall and 36-39 HWY. The DEF fluid is no big deal. Buy at most gas stations or car parts stores for $12 for 2.5gals. I think I have added 5 gals total (maybe 7.5). Big deal. M-B will scalp you if they put it in but it's simply filling a tank. Love the car and not one issue.

I have owned this MB E350 for almost 3 years and bought it privately with 84,000 miles and it now has close to 150,000. This one had all the bells and whistles on it from the first owner. I am the third owner. Massaging driver seat, sports package with Distronic Plus cruise control, panoramic sunroof, etc. For the long trips this car is the one to have as it practically drives itself. Smooth ride and quiet inside, in spite of it being a diesel. Some reviews by the pros say it is slow off the gate, but I have not found that to be the case for it being a sedan. Miles per gallon on a recent trip was 36 MPG on over 400 miles and with a 21+ gallon tank, your range is exceptional. I have been able to hit a high of 40 MPG on almost all highway miles and don't ever recall having my lowest below 23 MPG. If you own this vehicle you will need to have a good foreign mechanic, who may end up being your best friend, as you will spend a good amount of time with him/her and probably help support their 401K and children's educations. I still love this car and plan on keeping this car and am religious about servicing it on schedule, but have tracked its overall costs over the years and have had what I believe are general wear issues such as replacing engine mounts, alternator and belt pulleys, brakes and nox sensors. The real bug even the Dealer has not been able to handle is the constant check engine light, relating to the EGR valve. This is a real pain if you want to have a clear cluster on your instrumentation, but now I have just come to live with it. The Dealership actually stopped returning my calls, so I am assuming this is something MB does not care to deal with and I have seen no recalls related to it. Remember: Parts and Labor can be a huge gouge out of your bank account when owning one of these cars, but they are a pleasure to drive!

Don't buy this car used

I've owned my car since purchasing it new from a dealership. It has about 86,000 miles. I've owned it since October 2010, have completed all recommended service on time, and kept the car in a garage for 5 of 6 years. Recently the torque converter went out. The Mercedes Benz dealership in the city where I now live quoted $4000 for the repair. After looking further, they also told me the battery ($450) and starter ($1400) need replacing. Further they said the brake rotors are uneven and that is causing a wobble in the brake pedal. Their proposed solution is to replace both the rotors and brake pads (which are only 50% worn I will add). I didn't even ask the cost. But why would the rotors on a car that supposedly has lifetime brake pads go bad unless they were defective to begin with. Inside the vehicle the handles that are used to move the seat backs forward have started to peel up and the sharp metal cuts almost every one of the people who get into the back seat. I had zero passengers in the backseat for the first three years of ownership, and that's when the handles started to peel. The wood trim is coming loose on the front dash, the steering wheel leather is worn through, and the carpet on the driver's side floor is has holes worn in it. I'm not hard on cars, and have taken care of this one to the extent possible. But there are far too many problems on a car that should be more reliable for the price paid for it. When I first purchased this car, I had such pride of ownership, and loved the uniqueness that comes with the model design. But now I'm just disillusioned and will never purchase a Mercedes Benz again after experiencing the lack of quality and reliability I have with this car. Not to mention the awful customer service I received at the dealership (never get calls back, service manager says he will do something but never follows through, etc), and when I called MB corporate to complain about the quality of the car at such low mileage (again no call back and extremely discourteous customer service manager). I guess it is true what they say about first year design models (in this case it's actually the second I think. But either way, hopefully MB got it right the third time and isn't still selling cars with such a disregard for quality. Beware if you are buying one of these used, quality is poor, repairs are imminent and costly, and MB cares nothing about it customers.

Return of the Wagon

We were happy to welcome the 2011 wagon into our family. We owned a 2000 wagon, and contemplated purchasing the body style that came in between, but found it too small for our taste. The 2011 wagon, while not as quite as large as its predecessor 2 generations ago, is much roomier inside than the model that launched in 2004. Wagons seem to attract a dedicated audience, and deservedly so. This model is beautiful to look inside and out. It offers the utility of an SUV and the drive of a car. The third row remains one of our favorite features, not only for its ability to carry two (small)l people but also for its ability to hold grocery bags upright. More luxurious, more powerful. Winner.

Late August pick-up (2k miles so far) - luxury, obsidian black, almond/mocha leather, P1, wood steering wheel. Beautifully built, highly refined. Standout interior w/ excellent stereo, very comfortable seats, good noise insulation. Very smooth at highway speeds, yet holds well on sharp on/off ramps. However, MB misses in two areas. 1st, engine is a bit underpowered for car's size. 2nd, mediocre 7-speed trans. Specifically, shifting keeps RPMs too low when accelerating unless peddle to the floor (so much for 2 overdrives), sport mode does nothing, does not adapt to driving style (contrary to advertising). A very good car, but needs some work. A shame BMW no longer makes the 5 wagon.

We purchased a certified MB from a Benz dealer in NY. The car had 40k after 2 months engine ticking when starting. Bring it in oh we can't hear it. OK 6 months later now it's louder. Bring it in, leave it 2 weeks ok we hear it and it's a known Tech bulletin. Service advisor says 2 months we need to order a new motor from the assembly line. Then calls back and says your VIN # does not fall into this category so we will rebuild yours here. Replaced all main engine bearings. A month later pick it up no more noise but now it has a vibration at 4200 rpm. Dealer says can find it. A year and a half go by now 70k. The trim on the driver's door falls off, license plate light goes out, its a hid bulb and 3hrs labor. Battery goes dead, you can only get this battery at MB it's 300$. The last straw for us was the airbag recall. We get the notice, I call MB they say we don't know when where getting the bags just be patient. OK ,a month later it hits the news and we get a call from MB saying don't drive or drive at your own risk. I was happy to tell them we sold it. Funny thing they never even asked who purchased it. Not bitter just wanted to pass our experience along, make your own decisions. I own 5 cars at the moment and had always wanted a Benz. So that's why it's the 2 happiest days of my life, the day you get it and the day you sell it.

This is the 2011 E-Class sedan with the sport package in obsidian black with grey interior. After some initial problems with the airmatic suspension (replaced rear air springs) and rattles in the rear of the vehicle (replaced seat belt rollers and roller blind system), the vehicle is now unbeatable in style, comfort and performance.

I just experienced the oil cooler leak. Had it towed to the mechanic for repair. Still trying to get it all worked out. This is a KNOWN issue that mercedes will not own. The gaskets were faulty and they have since released updated gaskets but refuse to pay for the repair at a nice 3 grand. Anyway when the car is running its a fun car. Going back to lexus.

Great beauty from the get go. The overall looks are amazing. No one can say that it's just another mid sized car! It definitely has its personality. Drive is fun but you must learn to use the paddle shifters to gain optimal performance, don't expect it out of the box. Overall the drive is smooth, but a few strange sounds have come in the past couple of months when I have backed it out of my drive way making me thank God that I still have warranty.

My E-350 is approaching 100,000 miles and I am still in love with it. It is as solid and comfortable as when new. There have been zero repairs needed and the car still drives like new. I bought it primarily for road trips and continue to enjoy it on both interstate highways and challenging mountain roads here in Colorado. The dealership is incredible. The only issue i had was the wood trim fading. The factory authorized replacing all of it at no charge. I keep thinking I should get into something newer and have taken several cars for a test drive including Audi, Cadillac, BMW and others. Then I get back in my Benz and reflect on how I still prefer it to the others. Even drove a couple new Mercedes but decided to keep this one. Anyway, that's my story. This is my all time favorite car.

I have owned three Mercedes E Class cars since 2000. Subtle cut backs on quality, trying to keep the cost down, did not distract from the overall performance. The ride, handling and performance are still first class, making the car a good value for the money.

The performance is ok, and comfortable level is ok. However, after five years, the interior materials are deteriorating and torn apart. For my car, the car seat cover is torn apart and the buttons on the steering wheel need to be replaced. All because of poor quality of the artificial material used. For example, the buttons on the steering wheels are wrapped with some plastic film and are now all messed up.

This is my 2nd E-Class and 4th MB. I have 2011 E-350 4Matic, AMG package with PI. Capri Blue with Tan interior The car rides great! It is very classy and sexy both inside and outside. The phone interface is great with the Iphone and the voice recognition is pretty good as well. The ride is excellent. After test driving this, I really did not want to see another vehicle.

Ex-BMW owner here. Since day 1. Wind noise at right rear window. Dealership had it for a week and couldn't figure it out. Really. Maybe isolated to just my vehicle, but very frustrating nevertheless! Great looking car, fantastic lines. Tons of comments from random people. Great interior and interior lighting. Decent if a bit bland on the driving attributes. Light but responsive steering. Inexplicable road hum from tires. Smooth hwy ride, substantial feeling, but at low speeds, occasional trouble finding right gear and can feel it. A few unacceptable and irritating squeaks and rattles already. Only have 1100 miles on the darn thing!

We picked up this little jewel in June and, to date, have already clocked on 10K. The wife complains about getting in and out of the vehicle but I think it is just right. The car corners and brakes excellent but somewhat sluggish in Comfort Drive or whatever you call it. Should of opted to the V8 version. The interior is well designed and easy to maintain. The body style and appeal is a killer, a real head turner on the road. We are surprised with the lack of road noise especially being a convertible. Great sound system.

Traded 2009 Porsche 911 Cab PDK on this. 911 great but rough ride and hard egress/exit. Mercedes is a great all around car. If you really aren't ever going on a track, this is the perfect car. Very torquey V8, brisk in normal or sport mode. Tip-in and shifting very aggressive in sport mode. A quality car with great electronics. I have 1400 songs on 1 8.5 Gig DVD, Player will take 5 more!! Transmission is not as good as Porsche PDK, but way more than you need for aggressive road driving. Exhaust note is a pleasure. I think Mercedes gets it, and I'm glad I got it!

Great looking little car, although an SL looks a bit sportier, but only 2 seats in the SL + not sure you can get golf clubs in it's trunk. Nice power with 382hp V8. The only problem I have is that the bluetooth connection is very poor and music from my phone goes in and out so the listening experience is disconcerting - not sure if it's just the one I bought or all of them have that problem? I'll get with my dealer and see if it can be remedied. Best to all in these crazy times!!!

Traded in my 2010 E350 Sport for a 2011 E350 Sport, new one is black with almond/black interior, fold down rear seats, premium 1 pkg and tire/wheel pkg. Rides as good as the 2010. Nice improvement with LED daytime running lights. Navigation outstanding w/voice command system. Ride and handling is superb. This one is quieter on the road due to Continental Tires vs. Pirelli Tires on my 2010. Build quality is astounding. Fit and finish are great. Paint is flawless, rare in a black car. Addition of one button for front and rear fog lights, big improvement. Fuel economy is about the same as I experienced with the 2010. Got car because of a great deal, didn't need it, but what a DEAL!

Bought the car used from Carvana sept 2021 with 74k miles very aggressive with AMG package it has! I will start out with the things I like! the looks the design even on a 10 year car it has a solid quality build is very nice even compared to my wifes Benz 2016 GLC my 10 year old car feels more elegant not cheap and rides smother! new benz are getting cheaper with newer models mine went for over $67,545 new back 10 years ago! love the power V8 I have removed the resonator and put in X pipe it sounds amazing I have also replaced all interior lights with LED bulbs to give it a more modern look I also like how the car has a good aftermarket platform and support on car forms and I have more plans to modify it! I do my own service like simples things oil changes break pads rotors trouble shooting things and installing aftermarket parts to an extent. now I was lucky because carvana was able to take care of about 4k of repairs that needed to be done that i noticed when i got the car from carvana I paid a deposit of 125.00 to the benz dealership for the work new front brakes rotors pads new wood trim there was a fuel pressure regulator leak new battery new seat belt extender im sure the work could have been a lot less not going to dealership but I didn't pay for it so thanks! now car is great no issues! the driving experience is awesome love the sport mode 0 to 60 in 4.9 and no lag right off the line u can roast the tires tops out at 130 this car could do easy over 180 smooth by doing a chip upgrade or taking it to a tuner. I have summer tires on it handles great. and when I don't want to gas dump I can get up to speed set to cruise and I can get 21-22MPG in city for a V8 that's amazing! yes its a benz and things are expensive when they break that's why u should YouTube the fix or look at a shop other than dealer who can service it! I will be keeping this car for awhile its not a boring everyone has one of a kind of car. I will be changing plugs and coils myself soon also transmission fluid will need to do other than that I seen these cars having up to 180k miles and still going. great build quality! very happy with it!

I purchased my CPO in 8/14 with 30k mi, and added the MB extended warranty. With approximately 40k mi per year, it was still under bumper-to-bumper coverage until I hit 185k mi, and only had to take it in once for a bearing in the rear differential, but it was still worth the extra cost.

I've only owned the car the past four days, and WOW, it is really FUN . Having owned many previous convertibles i.e. Valiant, Eldorado, Saab, MB SL-230; this one is the best. It is very smooth, even with the Sport Suspension and 18 inch low profile tires. I have been driving an 09 CLK 350 convertible lately, and this is so superior it is ridicules. Also my recent favorite has been my cousins 09 E-Bluetech, which is also so smooth, but the E350 cabriolet is even better.

After owning an 2003 E500 since new, what a pleasure it is to have no problems to report. This E550 cabriolet is everything we hoped it would be and more. The sport setting is awesome for the extra rpm between shifts that really let you feel the power. A pleasantly tuned exhaust sounds just right with the top down. We chose the premium leather and multi-contour seats for comfort. Most of all, my wife fell in love at first sight, so we are both happy. Highly recommend this car and the V8 is worth every penny. E550 more luxurious, just as sporty, better styling, much more comfortable, motor is much smoother, and transmission shifts much much smoother.

Have had the new car for a little more than a week and am extremely pleased so far. Great blend of luxury and sport. Car feels more substantial than expected for a mid-sized sedan. Airmatic suspension works very well and provides nice option for luxury vs sport in the same car. Interior is incredibly well done. Very comfortable and extremely well appointed with all the current gadgets. Exterior styling is sleek and sporty. Rear end styling could be better, but generally like it overall. Test drove multiple cars/makes including BMW, Lexus, Infiniti, but the Mercedes just simply felt right and IMO had the best blend of true luxury and sporty look and feel. No buyer's remorse here.

The brand its suck. bad quality after 20k miles and get better after 40k miles. I own a E350 2011 for about 9 months and drives worse than my GMC 2006. they customer service Benzusa.com its even worse 1 hour in hold, 2 message for call back and still not one call. Two times at the dealer and always the same lame answers. very pour quality build. this is what I have left for people like me to know the real deal. Don't spend money just because the name. I'm very disappointed with my first and last Mercedes benz. Buy other regular brand because now these days its the same. I'm going back to Honda or Toyota with better MPG, lower services cost and they can be around for ever, very different from my Mercedes Benz E350 2011 with only 40k and already needs main bearing inside the engine, engine mounts and front suspension its loose. all this is ok by the Mercedes benz dealership in las vegas nv. every sad. 1 year later and I wasn't wrong, gets worse, brakes got bad again, front and rear rotors are getting bad due a bad quality brake pads from Mercedes Benz Oem. Left wheel bearing it's bad. I'm waiting until the tires comes off to fix it. This car ots been the worst I own in years. Never again.

I bought this car because of its truly beautiful lines. The car is a typical Mercedes---solid, airtight, good fit and finish. My car had some initial issues with rough shifting and Mercedes was able to correct the problem to my satisfaction. Overall, I think Mercedes builds solid, well designed cars and this model is a respectable entrant in the mid-size luxury sedan category.
