Used 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe Consumer Reviews
HappyCamper
This car is a rock star to me, they got everything right, even the little details from the LED running lights to the engine growl. I had a S500 that pampered me, but this one is just flat out fun to get into and drive. I have had it almost 9 months and haven't had a thing wrong with it. I don't use the navigation much but when I do I can tell there is a bit of a learning curve. It is fun to have a car that generates second glances and let's you know you have more than enough power on the road. The 550 engine was well worth it.
Best Car We Have Ever Puchased
My wife and I looked at BMW,Lexus, Audi, Jaguar and Cadillac. We test drove each car twice, on separate occasions. We recommend you doing this. It does talk a lot of time but if you are spending $50,000 plus, we think it is worth the effort. We consider the exterior design, the comfort of the ride, the interior design, the trunk capacity, and the interior noise level. The Mercedes E350 we test drove was our final choice and we are very happy we chose to purchase this vehicle. It is elegant, quiet and very responsive We thought the BMW was a nice car but the ride was not comfortable and the steering stiff. The Lexus was nice, but it did not have the luxury interior we wanted.

Esthetically pleasing
This is the best looking car I’ve owned since my first which was an MGA. It is a driver’s car and a great road car. I’ve found it to be very reliable, but know that I am very pro preventive maintenance. I use the highest quality synthetic oil and change it regularly. I drive this car a lot and it has not let me down. It’s easily one the best cars I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned close to forty. It also receives compliments on its looks wherever I go. My opinion has not changed. It’s a great car

Best Merc <$60K
The car is FAST. But it's also solid and stately as well. I really like how it handles and although the ergonomics took some time to get used to I am very happy with the layout of the interior. The seats are quite comfortable with the bolsters (comes with the appearance package) and the integration of the phone/ipod etc is quick and easy. The cupholders are perfect. The back seat has enough room for a short trip for people over 5'8" and a long trip for people under 5'8". I would say 6'0" is the limit in the back seat. The trunk is roomy for a coupe! The car looks really good in person (better than the pictures). Prepare to spend a lot for gas though, I am avg 15.9 MPG.
LOVE THIS CAR!
This is the first time I have bought a MB. We were looking for a Coupe. We tried the 335, too small. Drove a A5. It was OK, but just OK. Then we walked into a MB Dealer. They had just received their first '10 Coupe that day. We loved it! Over the next 2 weeks, we took 3 test drives and thought it was great. We now have it 2 weeks and love it more. Car drives great. Love the Interior and Exterior. The Sound System is unbelievable. We do get looks from people and have been told that it is just beautiful. We made the right decision.
The best!
Best looking, best handling Mercedes I have owned. Hate to trade it in.

Love this car!
This is a car I could definitely keep for the long haul. That was my thinking when I purchased it. I'm happy with the 6 years I've had it. I'm considering a newer vehicle. Not because of any deficits- but because I'd like to take advantage of technology advances.

Stylish and fun to drive!
I do not have any issues mechanically to warn about. It has enough power to pass ppl on the highway easily. It hugs corners very well, with very little to zero body roll. The fuel consumption seems to be better than its given specs. I get lots of compliments on this car. The only complaint is that there isn’t much room in the back if you are tall. But tall ppl have plenty of room in the front.

A Really Sleek Touring Coupe
This is my first Mercedes and overall, I am extremely pleased. I have owned 6 BMWs and most recently, an Infiniti G37 Coupe, all with manual transmissions, so this car with auto/paddle shifters was a leap. Before buying I looked at a BMW335 Coupe, another G37 Coupe and an Audi A5 Coupe. While the A5 design is great, it felt a little cramped inside especially since the sunroof doesn't slide open - weird. The E350 looks great, inside and out. Interior is spacious and the panoramic sunroof adds to that. Road and highway handling are excellent, but it could use a bit more power and some muffler resonance. Overall, it's a Grand Touring Coupe that I am truly happy to drive.
Fast & Beautiful
Have a new E550 coupe with Premium 2 package. This is a major upgrade from my GS430. The car handles like a sports car in sport mode. Can immediately tell the changes in injection/shift points as well as suspension stiffening. The new tan color interior is awesome! Seats are phenomenal. Trying to master the Command system--getting better at it each day. I was looking at the Lexus460,the BMW5series and the Jaguar XF premium. Drove them all and chose this coupe. Cost less and is quicker. Not bad on the eyes either. Just test drive the competition and then drive the E550 coupe. And no, I don't work for MB. Jon C./Tulsa
Better than the SLK I traded in
I owned two SLK's and fully expected to purchase another hard top convertible or "maybe" a sporty coupe. After shopping all the luxury convertibles I started looking at the coupes. I narrowed it down to the Audi A5, Infiniti G37 Convertible and then I drove the new e class. What a change from my SLK. It has everything since I went for the premium two package. Just returned from a road trip to VT - extremely comfortable. Only problem - it cruises at high speeds and you don't feel it - great ride and handling. Love the adaptive xeon headlights, voice controls, awesome stereo with every capability. Panoramic roof with sun shades. ... Gas mileage was 26.5 over 500 miles combined.
2010 Mercedes-Benz E350 Coupe
This is my sixth Mercedes-Benz automobile and it is the best! I have been driving it for one year. It did not have one thing go wrong with it during this time. The lumbar support in the front seats is excellent. The voice control system is easy to use. I didn't think I would use the heated front seats, living in South Florida. This past winter was COLD! The heated seats were terrific!
My First Mercedes
This car is hot, especially when all the windows are down. I receive so many nods of appreciation. One beautiful vehicle. Awesome surround sound. This car has so many amenities which I was not used too. Great to drive. Just returned from a 1200 mile (roundtrip) road test. This car performs and handles quite nicely. Did not really monitor gas mileage, but as I think about it now, it was pretty great on gas on the highway.
Hesitating.......
My first MB,an E350 Coupe; love the look, gas mileage and ride. 3 PROBS: #1-it unpredictably hesitates upon acceleration, at times leaving me in a dangerous position in traffic. Dealer updated the software, no improvement. Back in shop now (Oct 09), dealer has ordered new accelerator assemby; #2- Moon roof fabric liner has come loose, freezing the retractor; it has to be replaced; #3-blue tooth hands free has to be re-programmed frequently. Parts have to be ordered from Germany; still don't have the all weather floor mats I bought in July. We're not off to the best of starts....
Coupe de Grace
An outstanding looking car that's solid, sporty and fun to drive on the open road. The 350 v-6 is a little underpowered when accelerating, especially compared to my previous ride.....a BMW 335i ( 300hp, twin turbo) This car feels larger and more solid, and safer than the bimmer though, and its exterior design is sleeker and more attractive to my taste. Give Mercedes a lot of credit for upgrading its design and updating the technology in the E-class while reducing the MSRP by $5,000. This is an extremely good value in its class. My odometer just turned 1,000 miles and I've averaged 22.4 mpg overall.
Nice Pretty Car - Fun to drive
This car is great. Nice looking and a bit roomy - for a coupe anyway. For average size adults (under 6 ft) won't have a problem with the backseat. Only gripe is performance - this car is not a speed demon but has enough pick up to leave most cars and can hold a good cruising speed. Since I am not racing people it is not a real problem, But I would love to have the power of the 550 if the gas tax/mileage wasn't such a big hit. Overall, great cruising car and handles great.
Mercedes E-550 Review
The E-550 is a good looking car and is very easy to drive. Visibility is excellent and the car handles well and has very good acceleration. The instrumentation is simple once it is used a few times. The navigation is useless and is out of date the moment a new navigation disk is installed in the vehicle.

Fun Fantastic Car
Have 2000 miles on my new coupe and love it! First road trip this weekend thru the mountains of western NC. More strangers walk up & ask me about this car than any car I've ever had. The ride is smooth yet the handling is awesome. I can get in & out comfortably unlike my partner's BMW 335 coupe. Nav worked great. Sound system is superb. It's just an all around FUN car to drive and turns lots of heads. Can't comment on reliability and maintenance as it's still too new. So far, I'm not disappointed with my purchase. Wheeeee!!
Great car, fun to drive!
Bought the E350 coupe black on black and love it! Only had it two weeks so far an no major gripes or issues. I was nervous hearing and reading about build quality issues and while only having the car two weeks the jury is still out but no problems whatsoever thus far. Did a great deal of research prior to purchase and have no regrets other than trying to keep a black car clean and shiney. If you are interested in handling and performance look elsewhere. This is a cruiser. My other car is a late model Corvette and while the Benz is still in the break in period, I still downshifted and took a hairpin turn which squeeled the tires which would never happen on the Corvette.
I am smitten!
I am smitten! Having owned the Mercedes 350 coupe for just one day now my thoughts run to how much a pleasure it is to drive. The supple ride, the wonderful handling, and quiet power, all lead me to praise this car way beyond anything I have ever owned. My concern about leaving my Solara behind have melted into the expectations of getting the car out on the open road and enjoying the touring experience. I am constantly surprised at the little driver friendly touches I find as I move along. Does this car actually make you younger or just feel younger?
Wow, my first. But the not my last !
Recently purchased a Pre own model with 49K. Replaced a few parts via Warranty(suggested). Dealership at Mercedes Benz of Greenway in Houston Texas has been more than exemplary. The performance and amenities definitely Mercedes-Benz. As they say nothing but the best. Update: The car is still performing like a Champion true Mercedes-Benz and its operating cost is extremely low. The performance and the ride still remained true to form. Already doing research on my next E350 I think it's going to be the convertible it's so sweet.

Buyer Beware!
The sunroof design is an absolute joke. While test driving the car on a gloomy day, I never thought to check how the sunroof closed. Every car I have ever had or been in has a solid screen that closes off the sunroof. Not this car. The sunroof screen is mesh, not solid, and thus lets sunlight in through the roof while the sun is overhead. When I am driving around mid-day I need to wear a hat and I need to blast the air conditioner (even on a cool day) as the car heats up excessively with sun coming through the roof for many hours. I was so thrilled when I bought this car but now I dread to drive it during the day. Mercedes refuses to do anything to help.
strange noise
I just purchased the E-coupe last week. Great car, however, there is a annoying noise at about 40 mph, and it gets louder the faster you go. Dealership has been great, even switched the tires out. Did not help. Drove another coupe and had the same noise but not as loud?? Not a happy camper right now.
Beautiful Car
Just leased a E350. This is one great looking car. Has a great feel both around town and on the highway. Everyone seems to look and admire the car. Better car than the Audi 5. Home run for Mercedes.
Fun Car and Great Appearance
I moved up from a CLK (which I loved) to the E-Coupe 350 2010 and thought they would be comparable. They are not; the E-Coupe is far more advanced. The two optional packages load the car with great technology that is easy to use. I decided not to get the sports package and I'm glad I did because the ride is smooth and comfortable without it. My CLK had a hard ride. This E- Coupe is a dream to drive.
Still going strong
Let's be honest. It's 2023 and this beauty is still amazing. I'm good about the scheduled maintenances. Kept up on recalls. Low miles. I live in very hot/cold area in Utah. No problems. Came with all the extras. AMG trim pkg. Still very happy.

They don’t make them like this anymore!
I love the 2010 E550 rwd-bought it in 2020 with 87,000 miles. I have been driving Mercedes my whole life. This car is an animal and yet timeless interior with a wood grain center gear shifter, sport woodgrain steering wheel. Only issue has been tires as she is low profile. This was the launch edition. My 120 pound dog loves the back seat!

Better than expected
Was very hesitant to leave my 06 330i for a Merc, but am happy about the results. Also tested the A5, ISc, and G37 the Merc seemed to be a great blend of all of the cars. Not too cushy, yet not to firm just right. Driving tends to be a bit softer then the 3 series, but it still provides good feedback. Love the look of the front, will get used to the back. Looks more "E" than "C".
Update to my earlier review
Now have 6600 miles on the Benz. I still absolutely love to drive it & my overall rating doesn't change. Have found a couple of minor things that could be improved upon. The auto- sensing wipers are not very good. They sometimes come on when there is not any moisture at all. You cannot adjust them other than slow, med, fast and auto. My Toyota had a variable speed ajustment like a dimmer switch that was quite useful. The second item is the nav which doesn't allow anything to be entered while the car is in motion. While I understand this is likely for safety reasons it is aggravating since it prohibits the passenger from making any course adjustments while riding.
