Used 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedan Consumer Reviews
Fun toy
Had it for six months. Smooth accleration. Sped upto to 90 several times without realiing it.However, in the beginning it felt like I needed excess force on the accelerator (compared to my Camry). That problem seems to have gone.Love the voice activated telephone and CD changer. The telephone system is overpriced. Dealership people installing the phone system were not knowledgeable enough.
e500
great car, performs great, better than the e430 I replaced it with. I like it alot more than the 545i that I also looked at.

You're The Top
As Cole Porter said, You're The Top. As a long time BMW and more recently Mercedes-Benz owner, I have to say this car is the Top. Since I purchased my E500 in December it's behavious has been impecable. Problems to date - none. This car replaced a 2000 E430 and totally out classes it in every way. It also blows away my most recent BMW 5 Series. No, it's not quite as agile as the 5, but I live in Florida now and the mountain roads I used to play on aare mostly a thing of the past. Frankly, the superior accomodations of the E more than make up for it. If you want a car that does everything right, then get this car. Remember - you get what you pay for!
Great Car
I love my new mercedes. It is so fun to drive. I love the way it looks.
5,000 mile report
So far this automobile is the finest I have ever owned. I had only one problem with the vehicle the first week I owned it: the Command unit (stereo/GPS/cell phone), blacked out on my while driving. The dealer picked up the vehicle and found a "software installation" problem. I haven't had a problem with the vehicle since. Even though this is the most expensive vehicle I have ever owned, by 20K (the last was a Vette), I really feel I got my moneys worth.
