Used 2000 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Consumer Reviews
I'm keeping it.
I just love this car. Smooth ride, quiet, great on ice and snow, and very quick. No mechanical problems besides ordinary maintainence.
Great Driving Experience
Great car, replace a sensor in 35000 miles, brake linings still good, will replace tires at 42000 miles. Wish they would supply michelin rather than continental. Will buy another this Spring.

Inside needs improvement
Good riding but lacks some essential features. No Cruise indicator:Climate control no auto off (multiple depressions of off sw. on console whics is a distraction); /confusion between Turn lever and cruise control; no 'Mute' function on steering wheel controls;no running lights;passanger cup holders a joke (in glove box); no additional outlets for PC/Radar detect.,cell phone, etc.
Mostly Good
This is my second MB. Very pleased w/first and mostly pleased with this one (E320, 2000, sedan). The problems are the automatic door locks (I have had them fixed several times only for them to disconnect or something again; second - the cassette player - fixed once, worked a short while - broke again. Other than that pleased - however, I drive it very infrequently.
Buy It
This is a very important model---The 2000-2002 series is the last of the masculine, broad-shouldered, zig-zag shifter, well-tuned brakes and steering, E320s --also faster than the 2003 model (150 lbs lighter). The classic lines with the deep fender-hood sculpture is more MB than the current model. Absolutely no problems.
