Only 4 passenger sports car!
I traded my S500 for this car. I traded my Jaguar XKR for a SL500. The CLS55 is faster than my XKR and holds two adults in the back seat. The trunk is enormous. This is my daily driver. I love the sound, steering feel, power and look. Unbelievable to have something this cool and this practical. I am a senior and this is our sedan.
Best of the Best
This is the best car ever sold to the masses. The exterior styling is what an auto should be. It is not like those cookie cutter automobiles that we see on the road. The handling is superb and the aceleration is outstanding. The dynamic seats makes driving long distances more comfortable. This is the type of car Detroit should try to make.

Love it!!
I love it!! A little tight in the back seat, yet I'm never there. Performance is excellent as well as handling. If you buy one, get used to cars stopping to take a photo with their cell phone cameras. I would highly recommend this car.
Wanna turn heads?
This car is SEXY , like an Italian car built by Germans. It looks fantastic, it goes like hell, seats four people perfectly (unless all you friends are in the NBA). The engine noise is sweet, the dynamic seats are a trip - heat, cool, massage AND inflating side bolsters to keep you in tight. Everyone stares and gives a thumbs up. The AMG version is worth extra money, the feeling you get when you blast down a highway is pure exhilaration. I traded in an Infiniti FX45 (a pretty quick SUV in its own right) for this baby and I never looked back.
Can I be Dreaming ?
I've had my CLS-55 for three months now. Prior to it I drove an E-55 for five years. The new supercharged CLS- 55 engine with tighter suspension is a superior ride to the E-55. The Harmon Kardon stereo system is OK, but not the best. The manual shift mechanism on the steering column makes city driving a blast again. I must say that everytime I get in this car, it puts me in another world allowing me to temporarily believe that its also Camelot on the outside. The combination of horsepower/torque on this car is what makes it so fun to be in. When I first got it, I was constantly going for the brakes because I was approaching the vehicle in front quicker than anticipated. C'est la vie !!
CLS 55 AMG 2006 model
Today 2021, and a 15 years old car but still you are getting the attention on road , still you can beat the new toys on roads, still the rumbling sound makes people scared but when they see the car “woow”. Every time you press the fuel peddle that smile will come in your face...what a car. Get one but make sure that the previous owner took a good care.

Bought cls 500
Just bought used CLS 500 a few weeks ago with 120k miles and am not super impressed. SBC breaking unit needs replacement, apparently all units are under 10 year warranty, sadly I am 6 weeks too late. I called mercedes dealer north houston, they declined to replace, called corporate - they just gave me that long story that they take time to evaluate each request, evaluate customer loyalty, etc and in the end also declined replacing the unit. It appears SBC unit was broken for years and previous owner didn't even know that mercedes has any warranty for them. Further, I am noticing that the transmission gears are starting to slip 2nd and I think 4th up and down shift. Additionally have to spend $2500 on minor maintenance things and another $2500 on additional non maintenance repairs. Leather preserved very well, except the front seat has one seem separated for 6-7 inches, fixable. Tires are starting to wear out on the inside, but it doesn't seem due to alignment, looks like another expansive but unidentified problem Pros: looks great, black paint preserved very well

CLS55 is the bomb!
This is a great car! Styling is beautiful and the performance is outstanding. I had an '03 Viper prior and this car is very close in performance and much better in size, comfort, and driveability. This is the best 4 door I've owned.
What a car
I had never driven such a car before. Head turning, excellent handling, powerful, beatiful, classy, easy to drive. I own several other cars among them a Ferrari 360 spider. No comparison between these two cars. The Mercedes is much more powerful and easier to drive. What a beast!
CLS55 AMG
Mercedes hit a bulls eye with this car. It is a user-friendly "bad boy" It's fun to drive an never lets you forget that you are in an amazing blend of raw power and forgiving, state of the art engineering.
CLS 55
The car is unbelievable. I have driven Aston Martins, Porsches and many other sports cars before this one and this is second to none of them. The trunk is large for golf clubs and luggage so you can actually drive this car out of town, what a novel idea. The power is tremendous and the CLS handles very well compared to all the other mercedes available.
Great all around car
I have owned my CLS55 for four months. I had very high expectations for this car having owned other higher end high performance vehicles. The car has surpassed all of my expectations. I am 6'1" and don't have any problem getting in or out of the vehicle which I read might be a problem. I have sat in the back seat for extented periods of time and found it very comfortable. The performance on the car is amazing. The dash layout is extremely functional. The trunk is large. This is the ultimate family of four car. My wife who historically has had no interest in cars but has owned Range Rovers, 7 series Bimmers, M Bimmers and a CLK Cab. absolutely loves every aspect of this car.
The Perfect SedanSports Car
Standard of excelence that exceeds all expectations of comfort, design, and performance. It's muscle car performance will make a "hole" in the wind.

CLS- best car I have ever owned.
But also the priciest. I got the AMG package with the SL65 wheels and design package. Piano black interior dash with white seats. I paid a pretty penny for this car, but love it. For the money, I could have gotten a S550 with AMG package/ panoramic roof, but this car is more exclusive and so much prettier. perhaps I should have opted for the IWC version.
My CLS 55 AMG...I Love It!
Everything so far is awesome. More than expected. Very responsive. Forceful power. I feel safe in this car. Love it!
Great Car
This car is really a great one. It has unbelievable power, it is extremely comfortable, the car handles like a sports car. The drive dynamics seats are very unique. The functionality of the dash is great. I was on a waiting list for nine months in order to obtain this car and it exceeded all of my expectations. I have owned high end Mercedes and BMW's in the past but this car is a very special and unique vehicle.
I Love It !! Its fun, exciting & FAST
To me it is beautiful to look at - the best designed car by Mercedes in many, many years. It just keep getting better. You get into it, it is comfortable, well layed out and a sports car that holds 4 people well. 0 to 60 = 4.3 seconds! Fun-Fast-Exciting The sound is perfect, it just sounds as though it will go fast. Fuel mileage (for those who worry) has been between 12 & 14 MPG - pretty good for this type of rocket ship.
Like A Dream
One word: WOW! This car is amazing. This was my first Mercedes and I was somewhat skeptical of its performance capabilities before I test drove it. After that first drive, I was an instant fan. This car gives my 2004 400 hp Ferrari 360 Modena a run for its money in the acceleration category! It really threw me back in my seat...something I was not expecting for a car manufacturer more known for their luxury than performance. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone looking for a performance jolt while offering more luxury and options than more exotic sports cars.
