2000 Mazda Millenia S Millenium Edition
I am very pleased with this vehicle from Mazda. It has a combination of comfort, performance, and style that I haven't seen in a luxury sedan. I haven't had any maintenance issues with this car in congruence with previous years.
The Rodney Dangerfield Luxury Sedan
The Mazda Millenia gets no respect, at least if you read the automotive press. I bought this car with 55,000 miles on it in October 2002 for US$14,700 and I have not seen anything to match its value-for-money. Powerful, quiet and comfortable, it is an excellent highway cruiser, but nimble enough in city traffic. Gas mileage is acceptable for a 210 hp car. Everyone I have spoken to who owns the Millenia is very positive about it.
Mazda -The Best of the Best
This vehicle is my 5th Mazda purchase; I've had this one for two years and it's truly "the best-of-best" in performance and looks. Wisconsin weather challenges all vehicles and this one does not disappoint. Beware, its pricey when it comes due for service work, but it's well worth the investment for a performance vehicle; fuel economy could be better, it runs true at 25-mpg on the highway.
Will buy again
Love exterior, good suspension, excelent build quality, more powerfull engine will help, automatic airconditioner not good enough.
Luxury for less, but watch out.
I bought my Millenia very cheap from a bank at loan value. The car was in good condition with 69K miles. After purchasing I found out the 60K mile tuneup was never performed. I went to the dealer and they wanted $1500 for the tuneup. You can get them dirt cheap, but your paying to maintain a $30K car. I've had some other small issues with the car like the serpentine belt tensioner coming loose. It sounded like a blown engine, but it was just the tensioner bouncing against the block. The transmission is terrible. It's very indecisive. Also, resale is terrible since the car is no longer made.
