Great Car!
We got this car to replace our Corolla with something safer. It's been a great car for us so far. The engine, while not super powerful, is very smooth and loves to rev. Between the engine and the close-ratio 6-speed you can always find the power band. I was never lacking in power up to 11,000 feet on mountain passes, a feat my corolla stumbled on. The handling is wonderful, very composed and confident on twisty roads, but the ride is very smooth as well. It looks great, and the interior and trunk are enormous. The factory stereo is probably above average, the seats are grippy without being constrictive.Too early to notice any repair issues, engine seems to be getting stronger as it breaks in
Beautiful, fun to drive
Purchased a couple of weeks ago. Got the solid black; exterior styling most attractive on the road, kudos to the designers. Was appealing that the car, though selling well, is somewhat rare compared to the other brands, and very eye catching. The touches in the Touring Plus trim line with the leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shift really set off the inside. Interior fit and finish is excellent, very high quality look and feel. Got the 4-cyl to get better gas mileage (got 29 MPG on first tank of mostly highway), but the engine they're using is not particularly well engineered when compared to the performance of my older model 4-cyl Camry.

over 1 year together
Car runs great, but I still have the feeling that something will break down. The driving is not so comfortable, and the engine sound is too loud, it sounds like blender and both with the transmission, they think before they act. I saw more responsive trans than this one. Overall quality and ride is ok, not for elderly but still only for going to work and back. The best thing is THE LOOK. MAZDA6 looks like much more expensive car, paint job is great after a year looks shiny like new.
Love my Mazda 6 ITP
After 5000 miles, I have no complains about my Mazda 6, ITP - V4, ebony black and black interior. So far, I can say that the Mazda 6 is a great car for its value. It's slick and sporty design stands out from the rest of of the pack. Handles really well and actually zooms as needed. It is not a racing car but a zooming sporty everyday sedan. I added HID lights (inside/outside), tinted windows, silver bumper protector, mud flaps, silver door handles and pillar posts. I get nothing but compliments about it.
Best in Class
60+ miles each work day. All highway. Handling is very responsive. Sports car like feel. Hugs the road. Comfortable driver's seat. Probably won't ever sit in the passenger seat! I researched the Camry, Accord and Altima. Drove them all. Bought this. Only downside is the road noise. It's not loud per se. But, test drive the car on the highway if it is something that bothers you. Cranking Sirius on the Bose stereo is always a good way to drown out road noise. Fuel economy is not as bad as it looks in the 6cyl. I have 1700+ and I am averaging 22 MPG. I noticed that when I set the cruise, I appear to be getting 25+. Mazda has a winner with this model.
