We have had too many alignment problems with this car. Very loud noise coming from rear-checked but never taken care of. Tires go flat, alignment never done correctly and caused tires to go out over any bump and every bump in the street can be felt and heard. We have approximately 100,000 miles on the car. Each time we have had a flat tire we were told it was because of the alignment. One day our right passenger door wouldn't open at all. Once we opened it, it would not close so we had to tie it down so that we could drive home and we were 4 hours away from home and the temperature was 20-25 degrees. This car has not been what I thought it would be. Very dissatisfied with it.

Just what I expected it to be. Great handling, great look, exact amount of room for my family, fun to drive and a great gas mileage and great price for my budget.

A Great Station Wagon for Winter Fun

I drive extensively on snow and ice in northern Minnesota so winter performance is important. I switched to Nokian WR All Weather tires which improved summer performance, reduced road noise and made the car a complete joy to drive in the winter. I am running Mobile1 which improved winter starting and fuel economy slightly. Controls are good but are easy to bump with gloved hands. Ventilation is fair. Accelerator pedal space is tight for a boot. Overall the vehicle has been very flexible and reliable with a few warranty items including exhaust heat build up, rear sliding door locks freeze, cold weather squeaking over a bump (TSB 02-007/06) and fuel gauge calibration.

This high wagon is outstanding. Slick exterior design and the interior is great. I enjoy the way it drives and it's fun to switch gears on the auto/manual stick shift.

I was hesitant to buy this vehicle, but a child on the way so needed to make the mature decision. This vehicle is practical with sliding doors. The tires (Toyos) are weak, so I changed them out and the handling has dramatically improved. overall this is a very sensible vehicle.
