All good except for interior noise
So far 25K miles, going good. Pickup and handling is excellent, very easy and fun to drive. I do however get wind noise seeping through the door frame glass. Has been checked my Mazda several times, looks like a design flaw. Recently, started getting wobbling sound from rear, was told it is the tires getting old.
Nice gas-sipper that sits 6
Traded in my old Ford Windstar for this car. Given that the gas prices have been soaring for the past few months (and they will continue to soar), I chose this car because it has the space I need and the fuel economy I want. I bought the Touring edition with automatic transmission. Lots of people are saying that a 4 cylinder engine is too small for this type of car. I've been lugging around my family of 4 for a week now and I found the power to be more than adequate. The transmission is very smooth and responsive. Both exterior and interior qualities are excellent. Overall, it's a great car for the price.

Pleased for the price
Pleased with the car - it has served it's purpose as a family transporter for a family with 4 little ones, but it is quickly becoming too small. But for the price, I cannot complain - other than a few minor quality issues, it has been a reliable method of transportation.
Best Buy All Purpose Vehicle
One week after the purchase we had to turn our Mazda5 back to the dealer for the exhaust system recall. We have to say that Mazda handled it all very well. The vehicle is so correct in concept, design and timing that we could not resist it once we had driven it. We are car people and have owned many, many cars through the years. This one is the most versatile, useful, fun to drive package available. We have not experienced any power problems even loaded with 6 adults plus luggage. Family or not, this is one of the best buys out there.
Very Happy With This Vehicle
The Mazda5 is the modern family vehicle for today's small families. Very stylish on the outside yet you get the feeling this vehicle was designed from the inside out with the driver in mind. I own a platinum silver Touring (GT in Canada) automatic. I've had the vehicle for a month. Would of never considered purchasing a Mazda till I saw the 5. Researched the vehicle & was very impressed, test drove it & fell in love with it. The only thing that held us back from buying was the longterm reliability of Mazda. Although improving dramatically the past few years it doesn't have the track record of Toyota; then again nobody does. In the end the quality and value of the package was too good to pass up.
