Pleasantly surprised by the V6's capabilities

Our family was in need of a vehicle capable of hauling our 7,000 lb travel trailer, a loaded car trailer that commonly weighs just north of 8,000 lbs, and seat 6 humans with their cargo on a regular basis; much to my disappointment my old 2006 Toyota Tundra no longer fit the bill for our family's needs. I searched for a while and found a great deal on this one owner Lincoln that had been taken care of very well. So far we have put 15k miles on it with daily driving and a hand full of road trips. The pros: It is very comfortable in all of the seats and has features that I didn't even know were needed in a vehicle, most of which are very nice but some I personally could do without. It has road manners that are much better than a truck but definitely not car like; it's the size of small bus so you can't expect any better than what you get. The adjustable suspension is very nice for when you are hauling and when you are on long road trips, it is easily adjusted on the flu through the control panel. The power took me by surprise; having V8's for the last two decades I was blown away by the amount of power produced by this V6 with the turbos. This motor hauls with greater ease and better file economy than I expected. The cons: Everything is electronically controlled and i worry that this could get very expensive as the vehicle ages for repairs. I have yet to have a failure but that risk/reality does feel looming. The 4wd system is classified as a "light" 4wd system; I know that I am an anomaly when it comes to how typical Navigator driver's use their vehicle as I still treat my like my work truck. I do think there are limitations to this 4wd system verses what the Tundra had when it comes to getting through a muddy field and driving through the deep snow that Upstate New York winters bring. All and all it has been a pleasant surprise nearly all around. This vehicle has served my family's needs where my old truck could no longer and has done so with comfort which I expected and with power and ease which I did not.
