I'll begin by stating that I waited until this 2023 Kia Sportage SX Prestige had ample miles on the odometer in order to give a more factual review. At 9,124 of mixed driving ( 60% highway, 40% city), this vehicle has been solid in every way. My overall mileage since purchase sits at 36.1. I easily manage a consistent 38 -40 in city driving. On a long 4500 mile road trip driving at speeds between 65 and 80, the mpg sat at 33.9. The Sportage is quiet, very comfortable and handles well. There is an excellent amount of storage in the rear.I have the Harman Kardon stereo system that sounds better and better now that the new speakers have loosened up a bit. The safety gear works well and the navigation is a snap to use. Mine is the matte gray finish. It looks great but can't be run through a car wash. Touchless only, with as little sudsy stuff as possible. And that is possible only because I had a ceramic coating applied. Now, the only real fault with this vehicle is the ridiculously touchy HVAC/entertainment controls. Don't look cross-eyed at them. They have an attitude all their own. This vehicle has a slew of useful safety features and if you pay too much attention to adjusting the temperature in your car, you may well need them. That being said, I try to adjust everything before starting out. Now!! This is hands down the best performing vehicle I have owned. It's quick, quiet, and comfortable and at least to this point, entirely trouble free.

I have had this Sportage SX Prestige Hybrid for 3 months. My last car was a 2019 Totota Rav 4 Hybrid. The Kia rides much better, has more technology, is quieter, and quicker, especially in sport mode. The interior is more spacious and attractive that the Rav. On the down side, the raw averaged 38 mpg overall and at times was closer to 45 mpg. The Sportage get about 3 mpg less. But, for me, that is a fair trade off for the overall comfort the Sportage provides.

We love our new Sportage Hybrid Prestige. The hybrid engine provides a really quiet and powerful ride for a crossover. We bought this SUV because it has more room than the competitors, great MPG, and the driving technology is amazing, especially the lane keeping assist on highways. The interior is very luxurious for the price point. So far we’ve had no issues. I wish they would not have left out the power folding mirrors and the wireless CarPlay. What is the purpose of wireless charging if you still have to use a cable to connect to the screen?

I had a new 2022 Tucson hybrid now I bought the 2023 Kia Sportage. I like the features and the ride better in the Kia Sportage I like the style a little better on the Hyundai. The interior is much better in the Kia Sportage. I think the style of the Sportage is more conservative than the Tucson. Kia built on the Tucson platform and I feel they did a better job with tuning on the suspension. On the Hyundai I purchased the SEL convenience package, on the Sportage I purchased the e x with the premium package that would be equivalent to the SEL convenience . package. The Sportage package has some nicer features than the Hyundai the larger screen 12.25 and heated steering wheel. It just seems to be put together a little better. It also gets better gas mileage than the Tucson.I have had it for about 2 weeks now. What a pleasure to drive, I just went to North Seattle during rush hour and back and got 40.8 mpg. I also am starting to like the style better also. Three different review sites agreed..

Like: 1. The ride is very smooth 2. I love 12.3-inch digital instrument panels and display quality is amazing 3. The car is loaded with all safety bells 4. The blind-spot monitoring is awesome - never had before 4. A lot of customizations for the existing safety and other features are provided - just need to learn how to do it 5. 227 horsepower is more than enough for me 6. City MPG is good Cons: 1. On the display, the visibility of the controls that are placed on the right upper side is not good (talking about 'EV active' indicator) due to smaller size of wheel and trying to adjust seat and wheel positions is not helping much 2. Switching controls to operate between AC and other features like radio is very user unfriendly due to placing touch controls very close to each other and selecting those controls during driving is very hard and potentially dangerous due to taking eyes out of road and looking down trying to press the right control. - Configuring control to be active by default can help a little but still switching between is hard 3. Freeway MPG is not that good. Still learning a lot about this car

If you're here reading this, you've probably seen a lot of reviews already talking about the extra cost for add-ons, the so-so fuel economy, etc. Those all hold up. We got this for the space, the comfort, the well designed interior, and most importantly, the safety features. I let it coast at 30mph towards a stopped semi and it stopped itself. The auto driving features are incredible - I spent an entire 2 hour commute to work touching neither the steering wheel nor the gas/brakes. I have the SX-Prestige, for what it's worth (and to us, a lot!). We added an adapter for wireless android auto, taking advantage of the built in wireless charger. I couldn't ask more from a vehicle - and averaging 36mpg without really trying to be fuel efficient. Once we ironed out what we needed for the family, we got this car. There are options with better fuel economy, options with better luxury, and options with sportier engines - but none that had the right combination that this car did. At the end of the day, I bought the car that I wanted to drive.

Ok first let me tell you I am coming from a 2014 Subaru Forrester with 210,000 miles on it. I bought the Kia Sportage Hybrid EX for its rated fuel economy and my 100 plus round trip commute per day. This vehicle is quiet, peppy when needed and great on fuel economy. I only have 2,500 miles on it but the fuel economy keeps improving. The vehicle has to learn your driving style. I am averaging 37.1 mpg. This vehicle has more bells and whistles than I really need. I did turn off the lane assist because it beeping at me was driving me nuts. The interior is beautifully done mine is navy blue and grey leather. It has a huge trunk, spacious seating. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and the quality of the vehicle.

I have had this car for about 2 weeks and already have 1500 miles on it. I leave it in eco mode and am getting the 38 MPG being light on the gas pedal. Sport mode definitely kicks it up a notch! I live in Colorado and the altitude can really impact power in the mountains. I had plenty of power to scoot up the hills on I70. The matte paint is stunning and I have gotten many compliments on it. Beware that the paint requires hand washing only and you will have to get a special soap for it. Fortunately I enjoy washing my car, so not a big deal for me. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

We love our EX Hybrid. It has an excellent interior (comfortable, spacious, and techy) and it's performance is outstanding (gas mileage, speed, handling). We tried out a few other small SUVs (CRV, Tuscon, CX-5) and this one stood out largely because of the quality and function you can get for the price tag.

Have owner 2 months, 1500 miles. Live in Pittsburgh suburbs. Up one hill down the next. Mpg is 34.5 and slowly climbing. Got over 43mpg when I drove home on turnpike. Several comments on the red exterior UPDATE: I’ve owned vehicle over 1 year. Best suv I’ve owned (Rav, Highlander, Cr-v, Seltos). Completely loaded. Rides smoothly, getting 33.4 mpg avg for 1 yr. Mostly in suburbs. Highly recommended. Plus best warranty, bar none
