I bought my 2014 Kia Soul not even a year ago, and ever since I bought it, it’s been one problem after another, I had too replace the battery and alternator which is no big deal stuff goes out on cars, but then not too long after my headlights would turn on and off, then my car wouldn’t start quite often, then we thought okay let’s replace the starter so then we replace the starter and still the car doesn’t start and every time we would have too start it we have too put it in N, so then that’s something I adjusted too, but then not even a week ago, I was driving and my car stalled and my engine started knocking, and now I need a new engine with my engine blown. We checked I completely had enough oil, and my engine had gone out with only having 100,000 miles. This is the absolutely WORST car I’ve EVER had in my entire life, and I will NEVER buy a Kia ever again. Not too mention I got it from a certified Kia dealership.

Someone help me!!!😫😬 This is the third letter/warning/recall,etc we receive from Kia Motors. I have been fighting them for over a year now😡 How does one go about getting them to pay repairs when you get a letter stating they will but then they do not even after opening case after case with consumer affairs?!?! Kia has class action lawsuits and I am unable to find one for this area. They do not care about the consumers. Sterling Kia in Lafayette is a joke. If you own a kia and have engine issues reach out to me please. The car does everything described for recalls on the engines yet they find problems and we pay out of Pocket to fix but enough is enough. They need to own up to their faulty vehicles and engines....And if you thinking about dealing with Sterling and buying a car i advise you go elsewhere. I guess they want my car to catch on fire on the side of the road like the one I saw a month or so ago before they take action

Engine Failure at 76K Miles - Kia Refuses fix

I bought a used 2014 Soul + with only 27k miles. It was properly maintained and has a full service history. At 76k miles, only a month after the last service, the engine made a loud clunk and stalled. I had it towed to a local dealer who said it spun a bearing and needed a new short block. Kia refused to warranty. It was escalated to Kia Corporate who dragged their feet and after 3 weeks, denied to fix it. Its a known issue. I reported to NHTSA and found numerous instances with similar circumstances. Time for another Kia / Hyundai Class Action suit. Don't buy a Kia...

This is my third KIA, First one was a 2011 Sorento, which I put 78000 trouble free miles on. Second was a 2013 Optima Hybrid, A great Car, but my wife is physically handicapped and the passenger seat was so low that it was very hard to enter and get out. So with mixed emotions I traded for a 2014 Soul + which is extremely easy to enter and exit. Shortly after taking delivery we had to make a quick trip across country. This was from Yuma, AZ to New Jersey. (round trip total was 6215 miles.) The weather was torrential rain a good portion of the trip, The Soul proved it self to be outstanding, Through Texas we ran about 85 mph when possible and my fuel average was averaging 28-30 mph. The Soul was quiet and did well in heavy winds. I now have accumulated 8500 miles and have not had one problem. Also the local Dealer here in Yuma is outstanding. KUDO'S to KIA

I am a senior and this vehicle is easy to get into and out of. You set up high for better view out which is good except for out the rear corners. The fairly large mirrors and backup camera minimize this problem. The initial quality was very good(fit and finish). Vehicle was driven on a 3k mile trip of country roads and mountains from Oklahoma to North Carolina and was comfortable and fun to drive, averaged 31.2 mpg with two people and loaded.(4k miles) Car seems to get the best mileage if you stay at 70mph or less. A little bouncy on rough roads but cruises nicely on the open road. Steering is tight and brakes are good,a little touchy until you get used to them. Overall great car
