Love my Kia 7 years strong!
I really could not ask for a better vehicle. Ive put 157,000 miles on it in 7 years...only thing I had to replace was the alternator, battery and A/C compressor, only the usual tire maintenance /oil change etc..in 7 years I've spent less than $2500 maintaining this car..can't beat that! Still rides smooth! Roomy with 3rd row seating' loaded to the max! I get 23-24 mpg on trips and 18-20 in city travel! My faithful ride! I recommend!

I've had my '12 Sorento for 6 months now. My daily driving is roughly 50 miles to and from work. A stop at the babysitter, mostly highway. I get 22-24 MPG depending on the insanity of traffic. We recently took a family vacation from PA to RI and driving conservatively we got a hair over 30 MPG. Driving home we drove more aggressively and still got a little over 28 MPG. The only negative I have to give is each side does have a blind spot and you can easily side swipe someone as my husband and I both have nearly done. It would be nice to have a V6 but the only time I really wished for it was on our vacation getting through some tight areas.

Incredible Value !
I was looking for a SUV to replace my Saturn Vue--the 2012 Sorento is more than I expected I have the LX- V6--performance is great and gas mileage with 6 speed auto gives overall 27.5/28 miles per gallon combined--who's complaining not me! The Sorento has a great warranty and was also more coverage than expected. I liked the FACT that it was made in Georgia, Go USA! Drive out on the 2012 was $25,500 includes TT&L and $2000 down--No trade in.
Great suv for price
We were looking to purchase a fuel effecient Suv and the 32 mpg advertised on the sticker was awesome. We went with the 2.4L 16-valve DOHC CVVT 4-cylinder engine. However, we have driven 3,000 miles and have yet to get any where near 32 mpg. This has been highway as well as back road miles. The average mileage is between 24 mpg and 25 mpg no matter where or how we drive. A relative purchased the Ex model a few weeks after us and he hasn't gotten 32 mpg either. Almost all of his miles are on the highway. Other wise we love the vehicle!!!!!!!!!
A great compromise.
We bought the Sorento after looking at the CR-V and Rav4. The Sorento won out for the obvious: better warranty, features and more truckish styling (at least in our opinion). We got a killer deal (as does just about anybody) and read through the requirements to uphold the warranty to the 'T'. Long story short, it's a killer value and so far nothing has gone wrong. We've put 10,000 miles in three months, taking long trips, moving and hauling lots of cargo. It's proven to be comfortable while averaging about 25-26 mpg on the highway and about 20 mpg in the city. Kia's advertised 32 mpg can be achieved and has been, but only while driving 60-65 mph on a steady, flat highway. I'd buy it again.
