Safe car
I purchased this car in July 18 mostly because of the price . I bought a sport 4x4 2.4 automatic. After owning it a short time I actually started to really like it . Took it off road a few times and it performed well in mud and snow . Sadly the car was destroyed on 1-28-19 in a major accident. This brings me to why I will be purchasing another one . The car was hit on the freeway causing it to rollover several times . While I was hurt somewhat I still walked away . All of the safety features performed as designed . Even the towing company couldn’t believe i was walking when I came the next day to pick up my items from the car . The owner said he has been in the towing business for 40 years and normally people don’t walk away from accidents like that . The only thing I might change is getting the better model like the trailhawk. Can’t recomm this vehicle enough .

Love this car....
I just leased a 2019 Jeep Renegade Limited (1.3 Liter Turbocharged). I did extensive research (Mazda, Volvo, Kia, Subaru, Toyota) and, even though comparable models received generally better reviews, I decided to go with my gut and chose the Jeep. I love this car. I am not an auto expert and have no idea what torque is. However, the 1.3 Liter Turbocharged is fine and handles nicely. The headroom is fine for my 6'2" husband. The car is just the right size if you wish a smaller SUV-Type (but not as small as a Soul or Honda HR-V). The sunroof is so spacious, I feel as if I am outdoors. I have been bemoaning the fate of the Element (I stupidly turned mine in several years ago.); however, this Jeep is quickly becoming my favorite car ever. It is not perfect, but it is perfect for me.

Cant fault this car for anything.
We bought the limited 1.3 Turbo 4x4 and really love this vehicle, especially the size. Handles and rides very nicely and getting as much as 34 mpg as we live in the country. Fit & finish is excellent. My only complaint is the head rests are too far forward but I guess thats the law.

So sporty, outdoorsy, and comfy too.
We’ve only had our 2019 2x4 Renegade Latitude for about a week, but we love it. We looked at several models of small SUVs, including the Buick Encore, Ford Ecosport and Chevy Tracy, and ultimately settled on the Renegade for several reasons. First, for an inexpensive model, the Latitude is feature-heavy. Heated seats, heated steering wheel, rain sensing wipers, and an awesome infotainment system with a seven inch screen that’s extremely intuitive to use... no need to be Einstein to figure out how to take advantage of all its features. The front seats are very comfortable; love the keyless entry and push button and remote start. We also like the way it handles. Not as nimble as the Ecosport, but nimble enough and with a lot more headroom and footroom. I had an old boxy Cherokee in the 90s and getting behind the wheel of the renegade felt like coming home... there’s just nothing quite like that Jeep feel. Nice wide dash and a truck feel, rather than hatchback like other compact SUVs. Plus, we love the sporty look—again, this is something jeep always manages to get right. The engine has plenty of power but the accelerator is a bit slow to respond. A bit more time will tell the full story but so far, we are loving my husband’s new Renegade. Update: as of September 2020, we still love the Renegade. All of the above still applies. The only cons are a sluggish response from the accelerator and it needs more internal storage. We’d buy it again!

Love my New RENEGADE LATITUDE
First of all , for all the people complaining about ride, noise ECT. Did they not test drive their car before they bought it? Mine rides smooth, NO wind noise, I am averaging 30 mpg on the first tank. The fit and finish is perfect. It came with Continental cross Trac tires which have excellent traction, and are smooth and quiet . This vehicle is an excellent 4x4 and a great value.

Perfect for the city & some weekend off road fun
It’s cute, yet manly. Its based on the fiat 500x, yet its 4wd is all Jeep. It’s small, yet so much head room it’s a little ridiculous. If you live in a city like NYC, your see JKU, JLU, brand new Grand Cherokees, and surprisingly a plentiful amount of old Jeep liberty's rooming the streets of NYC. And if your in the market for a new SUV or your liberty is getting a little tired of the hustle and bustle. The Jeep Renegade is the perfect new city Jeep. With 24mpg combined, this little 2.4l with Apple CarPlay your get where you need to go, whether it’s the city or on the trail the renegade will do it all. As with all jeeps, there’s so many trim options that it gets a little confusing. But here’s a quick run down on trims to make it a little easier, if you want to go off road then go for the trailhawk. Plain and simple, not saying the other trims can’t, but with the trailhawk, you’re lifted, have a rock mode in your 4x4 menu, tow hooks, and skid plates to make the renegade deserve the trail rated emblem. Now, if your not gonna go on the trails often then you have plenty of other trims to go for. if you want the base model, that’s a sport, if you want something above the sport that’s a latitude which is the best bang for the buck trim. Altitude is the trim where the chrome is all black. Limited is the trim where most of the options are standard. All these trims can have the same options except the trailhawk which is a package all upon itself. All of these trims except the trailhawk of course can also come as 2wd but why would you buy a Jeep if it not a 4x4? That’s just weird.

Buyer Beware!!!
Bought a 2019 and 2nd day the service engine light came on. So they let me pick out a different 2019 Renegade. The 2nd Renegade the same thing has happened. Then they "fixed" took it home and next day the light came back on. Then they "fixed" and service manager drove it home but the next morning on his way to work the light came on again! They are still refusing to refund the money at this point and are still trying to fix it! Been 4 weeks and still no car! Now we have a lawyer helping us. My 1st car payment is due now and I dont even have the damn thing!

2019 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk
Do not purchase this vehicle. I purchased a new 2019 Renegade Trailhawk in November 2019 and it has been at the dealership for repairs since December 2019. Simple parts like the AC condenser, radiators, etc. are not available (they are on back order), so even though the vehicle has less thank 2K miles on it, it cannot be repaired any time soon. I've only driven it on the highway and in town for regular errands. Jeep has said the condenser and radiator are not warranty items and therefore are not their issue. Earliest ETA for parts availability is January 23, 2020 (which changed from December 26, 2019 to January 2, 2020 to now January 23, 2020 and may change again) and the vehicle is not drive-able. I loved the Renegade when I bought it; now I'm just disappointed by the lack of service and parts. Do not buy the Renegade. Even the simplest of issues cannot be fixed in a timely fashion. Do some research and only purchase from manufacturers that are willing to service what they've sold!!
awesome lil suv
me and my son both bought renegades a month ago..his is a 4x4 mine is a 2x4 both latitudes we both absolutely love this lil suv, drives great averaging 31.6 mpg on my 2x4- half in town, half on hwy. 50 miles a day roundtrip, with the end of year discounts over 8000 off both vehicles..where else can you get almost all the toys great gas mileage and a price under 20400(4x4) and 17800 (2x4) runs great plenty of power for what it is and way more room than anything in its class we looked at, love the look and the quirkiness and easter eggs ..i will be buying another 4x4 prolly trailhawk when this one payed off ..love love it..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just purchased our 3rd Renegade!
This vehicle is perfect for where we live and the type of driving we do. Our first one was a 2017 model. It was good except it developed a thirst for the 0W20 oil. We drove it to Texas and back strait through and it did really well. We own a 2018 and it is as solid but without the oil usage. Just bought the 2019 last week and am very satisfied with it. You can't beat the price with the incentives! Love the turn ratio!

Worst car.
I bought a brand new jeep renegade and the day after I bought it things on the dash started beeping and flashing nonstop. It took me awhile to get my car into the shop so I had to listen to the beeping every single time i drove. When my car was in the stop they called me to pick it up and as they are pulling the car around to give it back to me they were like actually it's still broken. 2 MONTHS LATER, I finally got my car back. Yes you read that right 2 months. Not to mention while the dealership had it my car got hit in the parking lot, so now its technically been in an accident. I've had problem after problem with this car, which talking to other renegade owners seems to be a common theme. I am counting down the minutes until I can get rid of it. There isn't much space in the car. It drives weird and seems to have a hard time shifting gears when you are trying to accelerate. Worst car I've ever had. Would not recommend to anyone!

Review jeep renegade
This is my second jeep renegade. The jeep is good in snow and good on gas.
BAD car, BAD electronics, breaks down too easy!!
This car cannot handle much stress at all, 3 years owning a new car and i have had so many problems from engine lights, to cannot start the vehicle and had to have the whole ignition replaced, to throttle problem. This is an absolute worst vehicle and Jeep is a poor brand for so many deficiencies. Never should anyone buy this junk or anything from Jeep

Look for a different car
2.5 years into driving this vehicle in a high mileage job, the engine died at 122,000 miles. Extended warranty and dealer sounding like they won’t cover it. Either going to have to pump thousands of dollars into having a new engine put in, or be faced with paying off 14 K on a loan for the car that is not going to be drivable. Quite an interesting situation to be in. 66 years old and have owned at least 17 cars in my lifetime and never, ever ran into this. Will never ever buy another jeep.

My 2019 Jeep Renegade Latitude 4x4
I bought this Jeep brand new. I likes it at first. I have had to have the radio replaced 3 times so far. Stabilizer bars were replaced at 27,000 miles. Then at 37,200 miles I had a recall on it. While in shop they needed to replace water pump, head gasket etc. Now my engine light came back on at 38,400 miles with rough idle. So needs to go back into the shop. I am very disappointed in Jeep now. I would not buy another one. Not going to recommend the Jeep Renegade to anyone.

The features are very nice especially driving at night turning dark corners they give extra lighting. And if you're into music has a very good sound and clarity.
